Oh so very normal.......nothing to worry about. We called it the commando crawl........or when teething we called him the swiffer wet jet,.......he would drool then pull himself through it......handy little mop.
In all seriousness it really is nothing to worry about........three kids of my own ........seen it in two and they are just fine......I am a little loopy but the kids are great!
Enjoy your daughter and stop worrying

That is great that means she is going to start crawling soon, My daughter is 8 months . when she was 7 months she was crawling around like that and before you knew it with in weeks she was pulling herself up on furniture and crawling up the stairs. You are going to have to get a gate really soon. You are going to have fun pullin you child out of the trash. My daughter gets into everything. Good luck... Children develop at different rates. It looks like your child is on the right start!!!good luck.

My daughter is 8 months and she's been doing what we call "the army scoot" for the past month or so. This is perfectly normal, some kids never crawl. And you will eventually learn, that there is never a normal with kids.

Oh, it's definately normal. My daughter did the low army crawl for 3 months. Then she popped up on her knees one day, now she's off and running. All children develop differently. She's doing what's right for her.

It's the army crawl. And totally normal. Some children don't learn to crawl regularly, they go straight f/ army crawl to walking.

two of my five boys did this-- I said they were crawling like soldiers---and they never crawled on all fours and one of mine did not crawl at all. I would not be too concerned unless your daughter is showing other signs of physical problems. If it bothers you talk to your childs doctor about it. She is still young and may crawl correctly. Most babies do this first before crawling on all fours.

Yeah i would say that is pretty normal i have a son who is 8 mo. and does the same thing. my advice is do not listen to everyone saying oh she should be doing this and that by now. i am going through it with my son and he is very happy i think that all babies are different and they go at their own pace. I don't think everything should be so by the book these days. She will with time and then you will be like go back to the swimming thing. LOL

Heheh that's cute. You better watch out now though - she'll be crawling before you know it & then pulling herself up on things - getting into all sorts of stuff she could never reach before!
Put locks on the kitchen cupboards! Move your ornaments! And don't take your eyes off her for the next 8 years ;)
