They need to establish a routine. Children at this age need to go to bed at the same time everyday. My 5 yr old is it bed by 8pm regardless of weekday or weekend. There are the special occasions where I will let her stay up later but they are few and far between.

My childrens are a million, 4 and seven. all of them flow to mattress round 7 or 7:30, weekdays and weekends. they don't sleep in on weekends, why ought to they stay conscious later? they are on a extraordinarily solid agenda, getting something they favor. Why screw that up with information from doing issues in a unique way over the weekend? My childrens are too little to comprehend about weekends. i have got here upon that that's ideal to save to a agenda as heavily as accessible, that way they get something they favor and are not sleep-deprived and cranky. at the same time as they are young ones, they'd favor to stay conscious in a while weekends, yet for now, if it ain't broke, do not fix it.

My almost 5 yr old is in bed by 8pm. It's all in the routine: dinner, some TV time, bath, read aloud with me or dad, and night night...of course, she gets out of bed a thousand times between then and 8:30pm. But usually she's asleep before 9pm. I don't mind if she's awake past 8pm as long as she's in bed reading a book or doing a passive activity that will help her settle down.

My boys (5 and 3) go to bed at 7pm every day regardless of whether it is weekday or weekends. They have a bath at 6, then milk, biscuits, storys and lots of cuddles.

Depends on what time he has to get up!
I'd say around 8:00 on weekdays and 9:00 on weekends.

My children used to go to bed at 7:30 pm on weekdays and on the week ends at about 9:00pm. Especially when they Had school. Even though mine are teenagers - they go to "bed" at aprox 9pm on a week day - week ends is a different story!

My 6 and 4 year old are in bed by 8 on weedays. We watch a movie or Americas Funniest home videos and then they fall asleep by 9. On Fridays and Saturdays I let them go to bed when I do. So that they can sleep in little in the morning
