whilst excreting clear yet bubbly saliva. My wife said to put her on the toilet she appears to be vomiting, but no...I have seen this happenning before at least twice maybe two years ago. This is not vomitting. For me it appeared to be more like a stroke - if you see what I mean. She was in severe pain and looked to be passing off. I am scared. Does anyone know what this could be? taking her to a doctor is going to be futile as I know they are going to simply dismiss me. Please help. Thank you.

Take her to the Doctor!!! I'm sure he/she won't blow you off. This may be a serious thing. It sounds to me like she had a seizure. This is usally what happens with a seizure eyes roll in the back of their head, they swallow their tongue, they may twitch or jerk bubbly saliva. She may have a serious condition this is nothing to put off get her checked immediatly. The Dr will probley do alot of tests and things on her to find out what is going on. If you let this go (not to scare you or anything), what will happen to her if she does this again and you are not there to know. She may die! She could very well swallow her tongue and choke to death. I'm sorry if that offends you or scares you I'm just letting you know how serios this can be. 2 of my cousins have seizures all of the time so I know what seizure activity is and what can happen. It is scary stuff. I wish you and your daughter the best of luck and I hope everything will work out for the better.

Clear yet bubbly saliva, sounds like a seizure. I saw it once before, freaked me out. But later found out that is was quite common.

Bring her to the doctor for consultation, they will not dismiss you.

I'm 43 years old now. When I was in grade school, I had seizures. One of the things that would happen, would be the swallowing of the tongue, or so I was told. I had an episode at school during lunch. A friend of my mom's knew what was going on & she held onto my tongue, while they took me to the hospital. Take your kid to the hospital.
With medication, I haven't had siezures, since grade school. I haven't taken medication since school.

what besides laying down is she doing at this time, ie body jerking or any noises coming from the mouth. the site below may help you. like everyone has said it could be seizures but also from my first aid class (trained in first aid) people do not swallow there tongue during seizures. (site below) sorry cant find anything on the Internet related to tongue swallowing. but i can suggest is to have her lay on her side or stomach or to have her propped up. usually every ones tongue does move back a bit when laying down your daughters may just move back more then normal.

Take her to the doctor and ask for her to be tested for epilepsy. Tell them she has some sort of seizure and give them the symptoms or better yet if you have a video camera take pictures of her when it happens.

sounds like your dismissing the doctor to me, take her down the hospital now and explain or take her to a&e if it happens again. you cannot just say your doctor will not do anything without even trying to see them, thats just incredibly childish and silly and it could endanger your daughter if you dont get her checked out properly by a professional.
