when my son was 5 months he went to bed at around 10 or 11 and slept until about 9. i think it depends on the child. at that age you can't really force him to go to bed at a certain time.

The best time for little ones to go to bed would be before 9pm. This way as they get older they will be able to go to bed by 8pm and rise by 6am. This gives little ones 8-10 hours of sleep that is required for them as well as adults.

Good luck!

My daughter slept through the night from 3 months, so I'd look for a 12-hour routine, eg., 7:00PM to 7:00AM.
