for about 2 weeks now, my son absolutely screams and throws a fit if i take his shoe's or clothes off. He'll carry his shoe's over to me and cry for at least 20 minutes until ill put them back on him. He even has me put them on over his pajamas. At first I thought it was funny, now I'm wondering how long this is going to last. Anyone else every expierence a problem like this?

i work at a preschool and this is a phase that many children go through. I can't say that i know exactly why they chose shoes to get attached to but it is something that they will get over. I as a matter of fact delt with this today. What i did was i took the shoes and redirected the child to something different. While it did work today it does not always work. But i do suggest getting their mind off of the shoes. Or if it becomes a really big problem set up a reward system for going to bed with out shoes on like they get a sticker and after so many they get a treat of some sort. It seems to work. I hope that helps.

My 2 year old daughter is going through the same thing right now. She won't wear clothes though. I told her that her feet would get stinky if she continued to wear her shoes to bed. so she sets them on the night stand when she gets in bed. As soon as she wakes up she puts the shoes on, then she comes over to my room and wakes me up and tells me to tie them. I try very hard to pick my battles with her. She's a very stubborn.

Aww lol! Kids can be as weird as an eccentric old man sometimes. I would humor him for a bit and see how it plays out. I am having the opposite problem right now. My twins HATE shoes and socks, and would love to be naked right now. It sucks since it is too cold to be out without shoes.
