My daughter is 3 y.o.She constantly refuses to go to bed in the evening. She doesn't sleep during day(so I hope she will be tired in the evening). She gets up at 7 am and goes to daycare for a whole day.I go to college in the morning(I'm 18) and get back at 3 pm.I study and at 5:30 I go to pick up my daughter. After that she needs all my attention and she receives it.But she is not spoilt.Anyway at 8 pm she has to go to bed and after the fairy tale and all the hugs and glasses water it's 8:30.I say goodbight and go to my room to study.Half an hour later she comes and says she can't fall asleep.I don't know what to do.In the daycare and at home nothing bothers her.I think she is interested why I stay up late and she has to be in bed.I live only with her and I don't have my parents' help. What should I do?

Ok to cut a long story short..my son and daughter started with a vomiting virus 9 days ago.My son is fully recovered but my daughter who is 4 seems to have developed some kind of intolerance to milk since this virus.
She vomits after any dairy products ie today she had a cheese sandwich and an actimel drink for lunch...4.30 pm she brought it up.
Do you think it's an intolerence or do u think it will go away in a few days and that it's just because her stomach is a bit sensative?

Please advise

I have a young female charge (almost four) who is still breastfeeding. She asks her mother quite frequently and loudly(and in public) for "booby". How can I discourage her from doing this without making a big fuss?

Ok so I have some concerns about my 4 year old. She will go to sleep in her own bed , but sometime in the middle of the night she will get in our bed. Why would she be waking up? Also im concerned im to lazy. I never had her in day care and she is still on a waiting list for head start, I work all day and am always busy at night. I read to her at least 2 books a night,(most of the time) but I dont know what she should be knowing right now. She just learned to count to 10. What should she know now? Am i just a lazy mother that doesnt spend enough time with her?

I am at my wits end and have resorted to shouting which is ridiculous and wrong! She basically lives on cereal bars, toast, smiley faces and yoghurts. I also have 19 month old twins who are not as picky so every time I make their food, I put a little on her plate to try to encourage her - she won't even put it to her lips! I give her multi vitamins every day because I am worried she isn't getting anything from her meals. She is very active and doesn't have a problem with weight but I've noticed recently that when she goes to the toilet, there is no colour in her poo (sorry) and its starting to really worry me now.
Any suggestions would be very welcome but serious answers only please.
Thanks

I've got 2 boys (nearly 5 and 2 + a half) and I'd like to put them in bunk beds but I have my reservations ....

Like the big one forgetting he's in a bunk bed and falling down the ladder, the small one trying to climb to the top bunk, not getting to the loo on time etc...

When have other Mums put their children in bunk beds?

My 4 year old son absolutely refuses to poop in the potty. He will be 5 in June and he is still in training pants. We have tryed putting him on a schedule, taking away toys he really likes, sitting him on the toilet for long period of time, giving him fibers & juices to makes his poop softer. Ive tryed talking to him & asking him why he wont go and he wont give me a straight answer. His doctor suggested a strict schedule, that didnt work. Im starting to think it might be psychological, and that maybe I should take him to counseling. I dont know what to do, ive tryed almsot everything, we've been trying to potty train him for almost 2 years now, so any suggestions would be welcome.

It seems like everyone else is sending their kids to preschool. Am I the only one who didn't? I didn't go to preschool either, and I turned out just fine! Do you think kids need preschool? Why? Don't give me the blank reasons about socializing- they do that at home and in Kindergarten.....

this has been going on and off since she was born- we have tried putting wheat germ in her food and even went to her dr for help. they gave her a syrup to take every day-but it didn;t help. I am concerned because (I know it sounds gross) but her poop is so big...like adult size, and she is very uncomfortable. Any ideas for my little princess?

My son is 3 and will be turning 4 in June. He still drinks from a sippy cup and I cannot get him to drink from a "big boy cup." What age do kids start drinking from cups without lids? Any ideas of how to get him too? Hes got a littler sister so she still needs one so I cant just throw them all away?! Any suggestions?

I have a very intelligent 3 year old boy. I occasionally get annoyed when he continuously asks the same question. And he says 'what' a lot. If Ive had a stressful day, or if there is something else bothering me, I tend to be less patient with him. And if I get annoyed at him, I feel really awful. What is the best way to stay calm, and patient with him, instead of getting cranky and speaking badly to him. (he's only 3)..

Right my son doesnt POO hardly and he gets really constipated i dont think its that he can POO he doesnt want to for some reason...

Today he was extremely constipated i dont mean to be crude but i had to ask him to bend over as i could understand what was wrong with him ie whether he had a cut on his bottom or someting and i could see something that looked the size of a football...he spent an hour in the bathroom and it sounded like he was giving birth!!!

I have to give details to the best i can so i can have some advice i give him some FENPAED from the chemist and yes it does help him POO but what is causing this as it has been going on for awhile now....he is ok sometimes but i think what he doing is holding it in he starts to go then only do a little bit instead of sitting there again...

please give advice also he has times when he will go sit on the toliet and others when he wants to stand in corner and do it in his pants please help
