My kids, 2 and 3 1/2, are picky, and just refuse new foods. I try to introduce new things, but they usually end up in the garbage. My son would rather starve then try something new. They will eat- apples(and apple sauce), chicken noodle soup, grilled cheese, speggetti, corn and chicken. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get them to at least try other things?

Well my son is two years and we have been learning our puzzles and he has been reading a bit, my husband's mother tells me that he shouldn't be knowing how to read and learning how to do puzzle at his age, and if your wondering thats all he does, i dont have to make him do anything he loves to go out and play but he is more into playing puzzle and read mostly how do i tell his grandmother he is just a normal little guy who loves to learn more than he loves to go out and play, he normally tells me that its not fun going outside and stops playng with what he has and comes in and i put on barney and he sits with his puzzle and just relaxes and his grandmother thinks he should just be a kid that wants to go outside and be a normal kid but i dont know how to tell her without her makeing judgements! plz any advice

WE have a 2 year old with an infection in her eye. Nothing major but the poor kid has to have anti biotic eye drops 3 times a day. Our first attempt was disaster. I'm holding the poor kid down while mom tries to put in the drops. Our child is screaming, crying and scared. And barely any of the first dose actually got in. How do you get a little kid who just doesn't quite understand what the heck is going on to let you put stuff in her eye?

My son is a sweet heart for the most part, but some times he can turn into an EXTREMELY bratty little tyrant. I know that 2 yr olds all act this way sometimes, but i think he is more of an extreme case. There is no talking to him when he is mad, he throws everything in sight, screams at the top of his lungs, and does not listen to a word i say. Ive tried time outs, ignoring him, getting on his level and talking to him, and nothing seems to work! I am 21, his daddy passed away almost a year ago, and i live with my mom and sister. The only time he seems to listen is when a male tells him what to do.. HELP!! any and all tips will be appreciated!

I totally question these so called "parents" who raise their kids simply by following the path of least resistance. Same thing for "parents" with 4 year olds still in diapers.

My 2 year old son hasn't been interested in eating much lately. He did eat a bit yesterday, but today has had maybe 5 goldfish and 5 baked chips. I made him scrambled eggs, chicken nuggets, a hotdog, oatmeal, (all his favorites) and he just doesn't want any of it. He used to eat peas and corn, but now he pushes it away and says "no". My husband is freaking out about this, but I say as long as he's drinking, having wet diapers and pooping, that it will pass.
Anyone else have experience with this?
TIA

I am a college student, and my neice's friend (boy) ,shes only 2, plays with her toy little "Hot wheels" cars. I bought her one of those car mats. When my brother's wife was watching them (play date) he noticed that the little boy was making sound effects. He asked me if he made sound effects. He did. I asked him if he wanted outside results too, he said yes, so I'm asking the question for him. So, when you were little did you/the boys Always? or even some times make sound effects??

I thought that they made them to "spice" up the fun
What do you think the sound effects are for??

I babysit/nanny the cutest little girl in the world.

She's a year and a half. And i watch her twice a week.

She's very very smart for her age, and is already talking in almost complete sentences. At 18 months. But i feel like she's getting bored, or maybe i am.

I need some ideas of games that are age appropriate, and things i can do with her.

Thank you, in advance.

My 8 month old son {gestationally 7 months} has started to crawl and pull himself to a stand as well as open little drawers that are easily to slide in and out. That however is not the problem. The problem is he falls as expected ALOT and hits his precious little head, just a few minutes ago while in his walker he was going backwards and hit his head on the corner of a shelf. What can I do so that he doesnt end up looking like an abused child aside from follow him anound or tie pillows to his head?

It can be cold in the room he is sleeping in and he still gets sweaty. Is it a normal thing, or could it be an illness? I live in Oklahoma. I've heard allery's/asthma could cause it, but I need more advice. I think I will take him into the doctor whenever this ice storm clears up. Help with my sweaty lil guy!

i have a three year old son that is potty trained when it comes to peeing in the toilet but when it comes to pooping, for some odd reason, he goes in the floor either in his room or in front of the toilet. he's when in the toilet before so i don't think he's scared of doing it there. and he knows he's not supposed to do it because when he does, he tries to sneak and get toilet paper to clean it up so he doesn't get into trouble. i have tried everything i know of. i haven't found anyone else that has had this problem. if anyone can think of anything please please please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
