I have a 3 yr old daughter, and she stutters. Ive heard that as long as its not 3 or 4 words in a sentence then shes fine. At times she seems like shes doing it just for show, but sometimes it really seems like shes struggling. She will go to headstart in Sept. and i dont want kids making fun of her. is this normal? or an actual problem?

My son is separated from his wife, and they have a 2 yr. old. He lives about 125 miles from her. He can't take her out of the county where she resides until she's 3. So, he has her for the day, and it's 34 degrees and rainy out. Where can he take her to have an entertaining day with her? My place is hands-off, because we have dogs, her Mom said not here. I know we can take her to the malls, out to eat, any more ideas? Should my son go get a hotel room while he's here for the day?

Hi! I'd much appreciate specific answers (or advice/guidelines) for my question. We need to find fully elemental formula (to buy) in India for a toddler who has Gastro-intestinal tract impairment and cow milk, soy protein, multiple food intolerance. She requires an amino-acid based diet. The formula we are looking for are: ELECARE, NEOCATE ONE +, or NEOCATE JUNIOR. If you know any distributor for these formulas in India or can procure it for us, please let us have their contact details. This is urgent for the little child traveling. THANKS so much in advance :-)

I weaned my 14 1/2 month old son just over a week ago. The first 5 days I wasn't engorged, no pain, nothing. Then I got my period and my milk supply went crazy. For two days now I've been pretty engorged. It has been quite painfull. I've been doing cabbage leaves and taking advil for the pain. Yesterday I hand expressed a little bit and noticed the milk was clear. I dipped my finger in it and tasted it and the milk was really salty (yeah yeah if you think it's gross, I don't want to hear about it!). Does this mean I have an infection or is it normal for the milk to go salty and clear when not being used anymore?

We have a 1 yr old son who used to have a great appetite. Now for some reason, he just hates to eat. We recently started him on regular homogeneous milk and whenever it come time for yum yum, he simply rejects it. He used to enjoy baby foods (jarred) such as fruits, veggies and chicken, but now he simply closes his mouth or spits it out. We're worried he's going to lose weight... Anyone experience something similar with their child, and if so, any recommendations?

Thank you kindly!

My 21 month old was complaining of a sore ear yesterday, So my mother told me to get him some Sweet Oil, and put a drop or two in, and that it should take the pain away. Well, Last night, I did just that and he seems fine this morning, OTHER than, The ear I put the sweet oil in looks DISGUSTING. It looks like it's full of blood, Only it's earwax ( I think)...

And I mean, His little ear is completely full....it's like whatever it is, Is overflowing out of his little ear.

It's a dark orange'ish color???

Is this what sweet oil is supposed to do?

My son is 14 1/2 months. I weaned him from breastfeeding 12 days ago (that was when he had his last feeding). He drinks about 8 oz of milk a day, a bit of cheese and quite a bit of yogurt. Past couple of days he has been SO constipated. His stools are very large and his anus looks close to tearing when he's pooping. I've been giving apple juice and also gave him a supposatory last night which made him go. If he is getting other sources of calcium, do I really need to give him cows milk?

I'm going to go buy some prunes and prune juice when the grocery store opens.

My son is 3 1/2yrs old, I have to lay down with him for him to fall asleep. Then I take off and head to bed. He'll crawl into my bed in the middle of the night. I usually end up waking up and transporting him back to his bed but he always comes back.

Do you have any tips on how to make him stay in his own bed? I was thinking of locking him out of my room, when he comes back simply put him back to bed, and keep at it until he gets it. Do you think thats mean? Any suggests would be great.

My son is 4y old. Still wets him self while naping in school he is the only one out of 10 kids his age in the class room. It effects him so much and he stays to him self the entire afternoon. I tried cuting fluids before lunch but it did not help. The envirment in school is perfect and he is not afraid to be there. He does not like the fact that he is the only one who wets him self and it start getting to him. I am afraid with will effect his confident as some other kids started making fun of him :-( . We run blood and urin tests and all is normal. Please advise if you know how to help. Many thanks for your help and making a kid happy.

My friends always tell me what words their child says and i feel ashamed and feel like im letting me and my child down when he doesnt say as many words. He ignores me and just babbles and plays with his toys. Sometimes he'll say words when i tell him to but its mostly when he wants to. I mean he already went potty in his potty chair and hes only 18 months old. Maybe hes really independant and he is just not ready to.Ofcourse he gets aggrivated when he wants something and he cant just tell me. He does really try.

The cot in of which we put our son to sleep is painted wood and so, as you can probably imagine, it is of concern to us that he chews the paint off of it when we put him to bed. Is there a solution that we can try? Cot protectors which are non-toxic (or unchewable?) A salve for his teeth? We've tried Bongella for teething but it doesn't seem to stop him. We've tried teething rings, teething dummies and putting him to bed with a dummy but nothing seems to work. HELP!!!
