Try this link to see how your child measures up to the average. But bear in mind that every child is different - height, bone structure etc so it all has to be taken into consideration.
There was a 2 - 3 lb difference between all my children aged 2 (youngest hasn't reached 3 yet) and it's altering the whole time, so unless your child is severely over or under weight then I wouldn't worry too much. But it's still interesting to compare!

In Britain we have a red record book and you are able to go along to the Health Centre for as many height and weight measurements as you want and it is recorded on their percentile chart. I have just looked to see what age it goes up to and it's actually 20, but I don't think my boys will be too keen on mummy dragging them in at that age!!

Actually, this link is quite interesting too - calculate the height your child might be as an adult. My boys are going to tower over me!

the average is 14.5kg, but as long as the weight is between 12.5kg and 17kg there isn't anything to worry about. If the weight is over or under these then you have to looka t their height as well. If th child is short and weighs at the lower end of scale they are in proportion the, same as tall and at the higher end of the scale. It is time to worry if they are not well proprtioned. :-)
Hope this helps

My 3 year old son is 30 lbs and about 37 inches at his 3 year checkup. He was in the 50th percentile for both.
