I have been wondering if green, red, yellow, blue are primary colours. What are black and white colours. i think i need to go back to school...

Red yellow and blue are primary. You need those three to make secondary colors.
Seconday colors are purple, orange, and green.
Black is the prescence of color (think about what happens if you grab 10 different colors from a crayon box and start scribbling all of them in the same spot- it always winds up black)
White is the abscence of color

Technically black and white aren't colors. White is the absence of color, and black is the absortion of all the colors.
