My daughter is 2 and a half and she usally goes through different fazes of movies that she likes to watch, she went from disney movies to super hero movies ( spider-man, superman, supergirl, hulk ext. ) to dancing movies. Now she has a thing for horror movies, mostly Jason and Freddy movies, as soon as I come home from work she pulls the DVD'S out of the rack so I can put them on for her. I really don't like putting them on for her but if I don't she starts to cry and it makes me feel really bad, I explain to her that their only movies and she doesn't seem to be afraid when shes watching the movies and on most of the bad scenes I cover her eyes. Now recently i've noticed that shes tossing and turning and sometimes whining while shes sleeping. What can I do to make her forget about these movies and to get back to watching sesame street and barbie ? And is their anything I can do to get her to sleep peacefully again ?

My daughter is a Chemistry teacher and will be 30 tomorrow. I am sure the kids would love to find her embarrassed. As hopefully she doesn't check back of her car going out to school thought I would put on a not so good baby picture of her with words like "Look who's 30 today". Problem is what do I stick it on with that will not damage the silver metalic paint? I have Sellotape, double sided tape, Pritt stick pad but unsure if they could remove paint and I am sure she would then not find it funny Does any one know or have any other ideas for doing this?
IMMEDIATE help please ! ! !

She goes to bed around 9pm. She was only waking up once around 2am for a while. But she got a stomach virus in November. Ever since, she has been waking up at least twice every night. Sometimes, she cries until we feed her milk. Waking up has become more frequent now that her grandmother has stopped sleeping with her.

We're trying to get her to sleep alone and through the night. So far, my wife is getting burned out having to check up on her 3 times a night. I am trying to avoid having my wife sleep with her every night. Any suggestions?

My son had tubes put in his ears just before he turned 1. The tubes have recently fallen out. On saturday, I noticed fluid coming out of his ear. I took him to urgent care and he had ruptured his eardrum and had an infection in both ears. He will be 3 in March. Is it normal to get ear infections after tubes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My step-daughters mother thought this was perfectly fine and "all of her friends agree." We were appalled, and I was wondering if anyone else agrees or disagrees. I don't want to overreact if I shouldn't.

We have a 3 year old toddler who has been diagnosed with ADHD, although, technically, he is too young to be actually diagnosed yet. Our mental health professional stated we should try an 8 week behavioral program, and then if that fails, then we will go ahead and have the testing done so that we can try a low dose of medication to try to control him. The three year old has severe issues with defiance, hyperactivity, and focusing. He was kicked out of his first daycare (pre-school) within the first six hours, and told he was never allowed back. He is very hyper and will run in circles, do backflips off the couch, run into doors...etc. He also has excessive talking and constantly repeats himself. Has the appearance as if his mind is going 90mph. He can't even sit through a meal for more then 2 minutes without jumping off the chair and running around. Has not responded to any type of discipline, time-outs, corporal punishment, negative and positive reinforcement. What to do???????

I'm a bit concerned, that my little Girl eats too much for her age.
She is NOT fat at all, but I'm worried that if she carries on eating as much as she does we will have a problem on our hands.
This is what shes had so far today (It's 4.30pm)

BREAKFAST- A bowl of cereal, 1 Apple
SNACK (at school) fruit.
LUNCH- 3 Fishfingers, 2 Boiled Potatos, Broccoli

SNACKS-
Hoummus on 1 toast, Nutri grain bar, 1 pear, 5 (small chocolate) mini eggs.

For Dinner she will have Tuna Pasta, Ice cream for pudding.

She is very active, cycles her bike wherever we go, but is CONSTANTLY telling me she's hungry. (She doesn't have worms!!) Am I feeding her too much?

Where can I find a time out chair, other than the "fun rocking time out chairs".

My idea of time out is not brightly colored and toy-ish looking chairs and that seems to be all I can find online!

Any help?

My daughter will nibble at stuff like pizza, pancakes, speghetti, hambugers etc. Its not enough to fill her little belly though. I tried to force her to eat raviollis and chef boyardee. She won't take just oatmeal.

My Daughter is 3.5 years old. She will not go into the Men's room with me when she has to go potty. And, I obviously cannot go into the ladies room. I always try and get her to go before we leave the house. But, it has happened on occasion when we are outside the house she has to go ... and I have ended up dashing home for her. Any suggestions on this?

My son is 4 1/2 and he is constantly all over his sister who is almost 2. He doesn't seem to hit her because he's angry. He is just so hyper and excited that he knocks her down and hits her in the head. It's just so frustrating to keep telling him to leave her alone and send him to time-out over and over again. How do I stop his behavior and why does he do this?
