When she starts having a tantrum take her to her room and close the door and leave her there until she stops. She'll eventually cry it out and also eventually she'll learn that temper tantrums aren't going to work to get her way.

Sit with her for a while and show her angry faces and shaking etc...then do happy faces and dancing...this seems to help kids tell the difference and at the same time laugh...
Also walk away during tantrums..they want an audience...and walk away again...

She is out-of-control when she throws a tantrum, and needs someone to establish control. Hold her very firmly and speak softly, tell her that you are there to listen and help. She will calm down soon enough.

She may be trying to get attention. As long as she is not hurting herself or being distructive to property, walk away and ignore her. If she comes to you to try and get your attention, calmly tell her that you will not listen to her as long as she acts that way, and walk away again. The key is not to react to her actions. She will get the hint soon.

what did you do when she did this? you must have complete authority over her and make sure shes knows you wont bend no matter if your at home alone or out at dinner. be firm and put her in time out. don't bend to keep her quiet, they know that and will use it next time.
