She goes to bed around 9pm. She was only waking up once around 2am for a while. But she got a stomach virus in November. Ever since, she has been waking up at least twice every night. Sometimes, she cries until we feed her milk. Waking up has become more frequent now that her grandmother has stopped sleeping with her.

We're trying to get her to sleep alone and through the night. So far, my wife is getting burned out having to check up on her 3 times a night. I am trying to avoid having my wife sleep with her every night. Any suggestions?

I would suggest the crying it out technique.

Let her cry for 5 minutes then go to her and give her what she needs to go back to sleep.

Next let her cry for 10 minutes before you go to her. Then 15 minutes until she eventually stops.

I did this with my daughter at 6 months when she was getting up every 2 hours and after three nights she was down to once which was more appropriate for her age.

Good luck.

my suggestion is teach her the difference between day and night, don't turn everything off and be extremely quiet during nap time, save that for night time... also establish a routine at night maybe a bath right before bed, also at night let her cry at least 10 min before checking on her, she has to learn to sooth herself, if it is longer than check trust me I had my son sleeping through the night by six weeks
