She thinks she can give him candy and cookies for breakfast and our son is only 2. To me this is the time that he needs to be molded and tought right from wrong, but if he throws a fit she gives him candy to shut him up. He doesn't want to listen to me or his father anymore. She also wants to have him come to her house and spend the night every other night... What do I do??

It was a video of this woman in a department store parking lot hitting her child after placing him in his car seat in the back seat of an SUV. I think the war covered the story over.

Right now he is only taking his bottle and sometimes during the middle of the night he cries for a bottle and I would have to stay up until he sleeps to get the bottle so he doesnt leave it in his mouth and cause problems for his 4 front teeth.

My four year old son just called me at work and asked me how a baby gets into it's mommy's tummy. His babysitter is pregnant. She didn't know what to say so she had him call me. I asked an older lady in my office what she told her children. She said she told them daddy planted a seed in mommy's tummy so it could grow into a baby. So that's what I told him. I know he will have more questions when I pick him up. Can any of you more seasoned parents offer your advice? it would be much appreciated!

I have a 10 month old that crys ALL the time~ He just wants to be held-by me. It's so frustrating for me. Sometimes my mom will offer to watch him and once I call and check on them she says "Oh he's fine he has been sitting in the floor playing the whole time" The moment I get over there to get them (I also have a three yr old) he starts screaming for me to pick him up. I talked to my pediatrician about it and he said that I will have to let him just cry it out ..so one night my husband sat in the boy's room with them and I came into the living room and put on a pair of headphones (I can't stand to listen to him just cry). We did this for 2 HOURS!!! And he was still crying. I have never seen such a stubborn child!! I love him dearly and I am glad that he obviously loves me so much but... how am I suppose to get anything done? My husband works 12 hrs a day while I stay at home with the kids. I would love for him to at least once be able to come home to a cooked meal or a half way clean house! This morning he had no clean socks and I felt AWFUL but here I am again ...sitting here holding my youngest and not getting things done! I even try to sit in the floor and play with him and that doesn't work unless he is in my lap. Just this past week it has gotten even worse. Before he would at least sit in his high chair at lunch and eat but now he won't even do that. Even my three year old is starting to get frustrated when my husband came in last night he said "daddy .. he crys and crys and crys!!" How do you entertain your children while you are busy? My oldest sits and plays with his trains and cars .. always has. But I can't seem to find anything to keep the baby happy!? Suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated! --by the way I am positive that there is nothing wrong with him because the minute I pick him up he stops crying. And he is good if I am not around.

This would be the 3rd time now that my daughter has went through a spell of claiming she has to pee every few minutes. She doesn't say she hurts and when I've taken her to the doctor the test always come back negative for a UTI. I've caught her itching her genitals alot though the past 3 days which makes me wonder if it could be a yeast infection. However those are the only symptoms. Itching and feeling like she keeps having to pee. She looks a little red but I figured that was from wiping every 10 minutes. I asked her ped. and he said he really isn't sure but that it was probably just a slight yeast infection and give her lots of yogert. The reason I ask could she be playing me is that it never fails when we are doing something fun, she can hold it and doesn't complain about having to pee all the time. But as soon as bed-time approaches then she is right back at it and telling me every 5 minutes that she HAS to pee right now or she will pee her bed. What do you think?

I need advice on how to make the days go by smoothly. I have worked in day in commericial daycare with an assitant before and that was a breeze and i have worked by myself before also but with one age group at a time. Please give me some helpful tips on how to work with this wide range of ages. Thank you
