My little girl is the cutest baby you've ever seen but she has her daddies dark side, when she doing something wrong and you tell her "no" she stops till you take your eyes off her then she goes back doing what she should'nt. we put her in her crib for a time-out and she starts to cry, my question is should i wait till she stops crying to get her out or is thier a time limit i should enforce? I dont want her to grow up thinking that if she cry's she'll get what she wants what do you think or know from experience?

the longest my wife and i have left her in time-out is about 30 mins
and she cry'd the whole time I "literaly" thought she was going to explode!!

I give him milk 2oz at a time so transition him to milk but he vomits after drinking it. I give him fomula again and he's fine. Should I wait a few more months to switch him to milk or any other suggestions? He does still have reflux.

I Babysit alot. Sometimes, im there with the kids from 5 until they go to bed which is usually 8 or 9. They dont want to sit on the couch and watch tv the whole time. So, i was wondering if anyone had any experiment type things I could do with them. The kids are usually anywhere from 2 to about 8. I would like to do something easy enough for the two year old but not babyish so that the 8 year olds would like too. Something that does not make a huge mess is ideal.

I took my son to the doc for his 15 month old check up. He weighs 21 pounds 8 ounces, his doc seems to think that he is under weight, he also has hypothyroidism for which he takes synthroid daily. His doctor thought that it would be a good idea for him to stop drinking whole milk and start drinking pediasure 3 times a day to help him gain some weight. My question is this, how much does the average 15 month old weigh and has any one had to give their child pediasure and does it work???

My toddler of 21 mths has a very bad gum infection along with a fever. I can understand about the fever cause all toddlers get fevers at some stage, but i was horrified when the doctor told me about the gum infection, because my child is always spotless and so is my house and she also uses her own toothbrush and toothpaste! So how did she get a gum infection?

I have a little girl who just turned 2. She is still in diapers. We recently moved from Texas to Georgia. She started getting a diaper rash. We havent changed any of her normal foods or drinks. She hasnt been introduced to anything out of the norm. Same soaps and everything. I have tried Dr. Smiths RashN'All (which always worked in the past).

And when that didnt worked I tried another very expensive OTC rash ointment. (cant remember the name of it)

I see no improvment. It doesnt look like normal diaper rash either. They are red bumps that have space between them. Some have white heads and some look like they are sores. It covers both of her little butt cheeks only, however I started see one or two of the red bumps on her back, side, stomach, and vagina.

It doesnt seem to bother her or effect her going to the bathroom. She doesnt act like it is painful or anything. She isnt running fever and she had her chickenpox shot.

Does it sound like its time for a trip to the pedi?

I don't understand why she does this. She says it is just "play clothes". It really bothers me because they are 3 and 4 years old and my 4 year old is starting to know the difference in boys and girls and seems to think it is ok to dress like a boy because her granny dresses her that way. I am not talking about just a boy t-shirt or something like that, I am talking full boy outfits such as jogging suits with football, spiderman, etc.. just boy stuff. My girls are not even the least bit tom-boyish, it's like she is trying to make them that way. She keeps the clothes at her house and dresses them in them when I am not there. Is this strange??????? or am I overreacting? I have never heard of a grandparent doing this. Please answer and help me figure out a way to handle this! I am not out to hurt someones feelings.

My 2 year old little boy started saying "f*ck!" at every opportunity.. now though he says it when hes extremely frustrated e.g in the supermarket when he doesnt get on the ride on toys or if hes not getting his way, infact even if he drops something he will sigh and say the F word. His automatic response has also become "shut up!" i have to admit i am less than careful with swearing around him but since he's started i have made an effort to curb the potty mouth. As for the shut up he really does say it to everyone and even screams the F word out in supermarkets when hes not getting his way. What can i do to stop this behaviour? Help!

He has been potty trained for a while now. He hasn't worn pull ups for months. He has this rash around his genitals that looks like diaper rash. Is this normal? What could it really be? I just put desitin on it. I am hoping that works.
