First, make sure she is ready. Most 2 year olds are ready. I think the best way is to put her in panties. I wouldn't use pull ups unless you are going out for the day. Take her to the potty every half hour. When she goes, then don't try again for a couple of hours. Make sure you reward her. Some people offer candy. If you don't think candy is a good idea, then every time she goes, let her pick a book to read with you. Reward her with attention instead. By using panties instead of pull ups, it helps her to realize that wet pants are uncomfortable. You will have lots of laundry, but she needs to realize when she pees. Pooping in the toilet will come a bit later. You will still need to use a pull up or a diaper at night. Most kids still wet the bed until they are about 3. This method of potty training worked for me. My oldest was potty trained in a week. My second took about 3 weeks. It does take time, every child is different. Make sure she is ready and has an interest and it will go quicker.

I started training my 2yr old daughter a month ago. It was difficult, but you really have to have patience, but it is harder for me cause I am 6 1/2months pregnant now but it's ok. I started by sitting her on the potty for about 30 min. Whether she peed or not. If she did pee, I would clap my hands and tell her that she is a big girl, so she would understand that peeing in the potty was what I wanted her to do. Then I bought some pull ups and kept trying but the every hour sitting on the potty wasn't working. So, I let her walk around the house without a pamper or pull up. I would read her body language to see if she was acting like she had to pee. So, then I would get her before she peed and put her on the potty and she kept doing it. I think it is different for every child but it worked that way for me, she will still pee in her pull up if we are out for the day, but that is because I only have her potty trained at home, so I think it really takes time. Good luck!!!

With my daughter it was putting her on the toilet or potty after she eats, when she wakes up, after she eats her snack. etc. What worked for us was when she went clapping, cheering and a hug. Something as simple as that gave her the confidence to eventually start wondering off by themselves without you and letting them try to do it on their own. Please be consistent because I know that after 2 or 3 weeks it can get frustrating but it works. Let your daughter where panties at home when you know that you are going to be around the house because when they feel the wetness running down their leg they do not like this feeling and they will hurry up and say potty. I found out cheap pull ups work just as well because she started un taping the real pull ups and walking around the house naked.

while it became time for my little lady for potty education, I set a sprint potty for the time of our rest room. I had stickers waiting basically in case she sat down. Our pediatrician defined that at that age, little ones want place fashions and it became okay to make certain her mum and dad and different kinfolk individuals no extra advantageous than a three hundred and sixty 5 days older than her utilising the bathing room. I never used pull ups.... in line with our pediatrician's suggestion. She mentioned little ones would desire to experience the completed moist/grimy uncomfortable journey. The pull-united statesdo not enable them to comprehend. I observed this suggestion and my daughter became experienced in 2 -weeks. there have been lots of injuries in those weeks, yet worth it. in the adventure that your daughter is crying the completed time, then she is uncomfortable with this modification. Her interest ultimately got here to visit... basically as your little lady's will. The extra comfortable you're approximately it ...the extra your little ladies will %. up on it. There are books on the kinfolk values section that handle potty education at Barnes & Nobles. try examining while she would not want the bathing room to help her comprehend what's to be predicted while the time comes.

My niece is currently being potty trained. She loves to wear panties, and my sister bought her those plastic panty cover-ups so that if she pees it won't go everywhere. She walks around all day in just panties and the cover ups. Her plastic potty is in the nearest bathroom and every 30 minutes or so, my sister asks her "Do you have to go pee pee?" or "Did you go pee pee?" If she has already peed, my sister pulls off the panties and stuff and sets her on her potty and tells her that pee pee goes in there. My niece hates to pee herself, so she'll stand with her legs squeezed together trying to hold it in. When my sister sees her doing that, she runs her to the potty, puts her on it, and tries to get her to pee there. Sometimes she will and sometimes she won't. She gets a Skittle when she does.

When my daughther was ready for potty training I took her shopping and let her pick out her own panties (Barney was the big thing at the time) I told her that if she poops in them I have to throw them away and she did she was upset and after that she never pooped in them again because she wanted more panties!

My grandmother took my Aunt when she was a little girl to the store and let her pick out her favorite panties. She could wear one pair a day - if she soiled it she was put back in a diaper. My grandmother would handwash them and hang them out to dry - so my Aunt would have to wait until they were dry before trying again. It'd be basically one try a day. My Aunt didn't want to wear diapers so she potty-trained really quickly. Plus my aunt was very fond of her panties - since she'd picked them out herself like a big girl.

I just potty trained my son. I didn't push him in any way. I let him know where the potty was and what it was for and he just did it himself. Just be patient. Every child is diffrent.
