It means he's dehydrated, for starters. If he's drinking a lot of liquids, and nothing is coming back out, he needs to be seen.
It could be something else, such as an early indicator of diabetes, kidney problems, and more.
Watch his diapers when you are at home tonight, and if he goes without wetting for a long period (longer than he would normally go), then get him seen tonight.
Children dehydrate quickly, and it can lead to other problems. Once he's seen, they will put an IV in him, and get fluids into him this way. They will not release him until he has produced a certain amount of urine. They will also check as to what is causing the problem.

What kind of liquids does he get? Try sticking to only milk and lots of water. And a cup of juice a day. Was he recently sick? If so he may have been dehydrated and is now overcompensating.
I would make a Dr's appointment. But in the meantime just load him up with water/milk and cut out salty foods and NO POP!
Good luck and stay optimistic !

If he hasn't peed in 12 hrs, take him to the doctor. My son pees all the time... but when he was sick with the flu virus, he peed less, but they told us as long as he has one pee in 12 hrs, then he should be ok.... keep giving lot's of fluids, but call the doctor! :)

Call your doctor! If he's drinking and not wetting he could be dehydrated, which means he may have a virus. Also try the pedia-lyte ice pops. But call your doctor!!!!

If dibetes runs in the family I would check into that however if he has been sick (vomitting, diahrea) that would also explain a lack of urine.
