So, I was looking at the toddler beds just to do so. I want to buy my son one since now I have the money for it, but I have no room to store it, so when I buy it I will have to set it up then and there. I looked at a bed and it said ready for babys over 15 months, my son's not quite there yet, but what I'm wondering is when he is older than 15 months is he ready for one? Or should I hold off until, when?

Both my boys go to sleep between 8 and 9. Sometimes later. They take about a two hour nap in the afternoon almost every day. I've tried putting them to sleep later but it never fails they are up before 7 A.M. I want them to sleep longer so I can sleep longer. Should I quit giving them a nap? What other suggestions do you have? Much appreciated.

My two and half year old daughter cries and does not want to part from me when I drop her off at my baby-sitter's house. My baby sitter has 2 8-10 year old grandsons and my daughter doesn't seem to like them. My daughter never cried before. This worries me. Also sometimes she says that the baby sitter gives her a whack. I don't see any bruises on my daughter's body and am not sure if my daughter is telling the truth. Has anybody had similar situations? How did you deal with such situations? What are indications of abuse at the baby-sitter's?

I am very upset in how there is an overwhelming amount of clothing options for girls in department stores. I like my son to wear a sophisicated, classy, sporty urban look. The only clothes that come close to these looks are at babygap and children's place in pittsburgh, pa. but unfortunately they charge an arm and a leg for baby clothes which only has but so much fabric to it! do yal feel theres a market out there for an all boys clothing store?
I want to be able to buy clothes for my son without having to use coupons or wait for good sales to get the clothing I want and i dont think anybody else with son's should have to either. girls clothes dont cost that much!

He's always sick from daycare and I recently started taking vitamins because he kept getting me sick. I didn't know if he was old enough yet. It's almost New Years and we're both coming down with a cold and he has a bad cough all of a sudden.

I just wanted to compare to see what is normal. How long does your toddler slep at night and how many naps do they have during the day? How long are the naps?
By toddler I mean 1-2 years

Today I was telling my 3-year-old daughter that we were going to visit a friend of mine. She's never met her, and asked me, "Mom, what color is she?".

We never discuss racial differences or anything race-related, so I was a little taken aback at her question, and answered it as innocently as I could. I said, "She has brown hair, dear", thinking that would be enough to satisfy her question.

She then says, "No mom. What color is SHE?"
I'm still a little shocked, but I say as calmy as I could, "She's just like you and me". (we're caucasian).
And my daughter responds, "Ohhh. You mean she's gray like me"???

I don't really know what to make of this. Have other parents had similar experiences with their kids when they realize people come in different races and "colors"? What's the best way to respond to this delicate question?

I think so because a persons bite is way more toxic
Even if the bite is small you have to the doctor or hospital
police officers that have been bitten by criminals have almost lost their arm after waiting too long to go to hospital

Humans spread diseases way more than animals
Have you ever heard of an animal with a STD ....Never ...People are very dirty and when a animal bites people over react but never think twice about having sex with a stranger without a condom

hello, I am 14 and I watch my 5 year old brother on a daily bases, because both of my parents work during the day. My brother is really out of control, he listens to NOTHING I say. I have tried to tell both of my parents calmy and I've done everything, but, they just don't care because they don't have to deal with him during the day. Well, when my mom get's home after work, my brother won't listen to her either. So, my mom and dad both decided that whenever my brother gets in trouble I am punished instead of him. Because they say I am the one who is setting a bad example. When I am not. My brother swears and I am not the person teaching him that. My brother pushes people at school, and I am not the person responsible for that. What should I do?!?! This is unfair.

I have it on impeccable authority that a 4 year old child (boy) weighing 45 kilos (that's 99 lbs or over 7 stone) has been admitted to a local hospital.

He is very ill.

Without writing streams of vituperation against the parents is there anything that can be done?

In a parallel case I know of a child died of malnutrition having been fed only on 'rice milk' and an attempted prosecution failed.

Should we, as individuals try to get the law changed and if so, how? And what should the ne law be?

Doing research.

Whenever she sees something out of place she grunts and moans and points at an object out of place, and would get mad if you don't fix it or something.

My 2 year old has an ear infection and viral phneumonia. She started Amoxicillin yesterday morning. She, now, has diahhrea. It's not bad,
just 3 or 4 times today. Her fever is way down and she isn't coughing as much. She is also eating better and drinking better.
She also isn't throwing up mucus as much.
I'm giving her pedialyte.
Should I be worried enough to go to the emergency room or is this normal for children on antibiotics ?
