He can take some kind of Flintstone vitamins. My daughter is 15 months old and she takes 1/2 the lowest dosage. The doctor told me to just give her half of what it says. For instance, if it says 2 tablets as the lowest dose, she'd take 1...if it says 1, she'd take 1/2. Well, I would definitely talk to your doctor first to see what the proper dosage is.
As for the cold, the vitamins really won't do much for him now. I think it will help prevent colds, but not totally cure them. My daughter is also in daycare and sick non-stop so if you happen to find something that works, let me know! :)
Good luck!

There is Vitamin C for children and I think that would be a good idea. My doctor has told me (though doctors opinions differ) that those chewable multivitamins and such are just a waste of money. But, if its a cold you are concerned about, Vitamin C is likely, in my opinion, your best option. Just like adults, except i think the vitamin C for children is in an easier chewable form, ( not so hard).
Good Luck, I hope I was able to help. Happy New Year

OMG i just found these new flintstones vitamins made for 2-3 year olds. They are delicious too (not medicine tasting at all). I just started giving them to my newly 2 year old and she loves them. She is also in daycare and i'm hoping it will help to fight off the numerous colds that are contracted and such.
Best of luck. BTW i got the Vitamins at CVS Drugstore and they were about $7 for a bottle.

You really shouldn't give a 2 year old vitamins without your doctor approving them. If he's constantly getting sick and you think it's from the other kids from his daycare, you should visit a doctor and see what vitamin he would suggest. Plenty of fresh fruits and vegies, and avoid too much sugar and lollies etc. Lots and lots of water.

sure, you can give him children's vitamins. he's old enough to even have the gummi vitamins...which are pretty good if i do say so myself!
give him a gummi in the a.m. and p.m. and that may help.
i know i have felt GREAT once i started a strict vitamin routine. i take an ultra-mega for women in the a.m. and p.m. and i also toss in a few extra C and E vitamins. when i feel sluggish i increase my B-complex and i also take extra folic acid.
take care:)

My son is 18 months and i give him the Seasame Street Gummie Vitamins. They chew up as easy as a fruit snack. I don't like the Flintstones or other ones like it because they can be hard to chew for smaller children.

My 2 year old loves to have gummi vitamins every morning. Check with your pediatrician first though
