My middle child (a boy) who is almost 4 years old has just (FINALLY!) gotten the hang of consistently using the bathroom. I also have another son that just turned three and he has absolutely NO desire to even sit on the toilet. I don't push it. It will happen when they are ready, not when I am ready. You just need to calm down and just let your son do what he is ready for when he is ready for it. Some "get it" sooner than others.....that is true for ALL developmental issues. I wouldn't worry. My brother wasn't ready to consistently use the toilet until after he was 4 years old.

it is said that boys are slower at getting nappy trained than girls.

try giving him a reward system for every time he pees on the potty, whenhe has a certain number of stars you could give him a small present as a reward. you could also say that if he poohs he gets 2 stickers.

It is necessary to be consistent, give him a good routine and just give him lots of opportunity to use the potty.

he will get there, try not to get cross if he has an accident.

both of my kid were exactly 3 years old before they "got it." I think the worst thing you can do is pressure him and/or make him feel like he's doing something wrong. Have you tried a "reward jar"? I tried that with some success on my daughter. One M&M for pee, two M&Ms for poop . . .

I always used to say that neither of my kids would be going to their prom wearing a pull-up -- he'll get it when he gets it and I bet it will be soon!

He'll do it on his own. What I did to my son was bought underwear, and told him that these are what big boys wear, and not pull-ups. I let him wear them around until he decided he wanted to pee on himself, instead go to the bathroom. I told him he cant wear his underwear again until he pees on the potty like a big boy, and it worked !!! He still has accidents here and there, but overall, he is the potty master !!!!! he doesn't even want to wear pull-ups anymore, but he has to at night.

Be patient, and Good Luck !!!!!

Cadans potty gets sad when he doesn't sit and pee/poop on him. It talks and everything...very humilating for us parents but works like a charm. In our house everything talks....lol
