10 minutes after she finishes a meal, she is saying she is hungry and wants to eat. Do you think I should be giving her more food at that point or ignoring it? Do you know of any healthy snacks (but don't taste or look like healthy food) that are good?

I don't know why they make them the way they do! With all those cracks and crevises they are so hard to clean. I used to have sippy cup cleaners made by PARENTS CHOICE, but they stoped selling them. Any advice?

My 2 1/2 year old daughter keeps hurting and torturing the kitten we just got 2 weeks ago. She has been caught soaking him with water, picking him up by his front paws and pulling, picking him up by the collar, trying to sit on him, yanking his tail, and many other things. She does some of it right in front of us. And we caught her doing the water thing at 4 am!!!!! We have forbiden her to touch him and try to keep them appart as much as possible. We also have a dog and she is GREAT with her. Jealousy maybe although I couldn't see why? How can I stop her? Is this a hint of worser things to come when she is older( you know what I mean). Any help?

My 2 1/2 years boy doesn't talk. He says some words, understands instructions, he is toilet trained, he is healthy ... but doesn't make sentences. Do you have some tips to give me?
Also, he is bilingual (french / english) ... he understands very well both languages. Do you know some good books about raising bilingual kids?

How do you think a dad might feel about it. He is 1 year old. I have 2 daughters and do not know about little boys. I thought he might want to cuddle with it.

I am looking for a well-organized club where stay-at-home moms meet, together with their children, to make friends for both, in the St. Louis, MO area. During the summer it is difficult to keep a full schedule of activities for our active four-year-old. And with no siblings or kids in the neighborhood, it makes it even more difficult.

The preschool/daycare doesn't seem to know how to handle this...I can't afford to have him get "kicked out" for his behavior. Yesterday he pushed every child in his class and made one little girl cry. All he says is that he has to be first. He does the same thing at home with his older sister and sometimes she will let him be first, other times not...it is easier just to let him be first to avoid a melt down but obviously that is not the answer. How can I redirect him or modify his behavior?

My son is almost 17 months old. He's still not saying any words. He is very vocal in his own "language", but will not say moma or common words. He will try to repeat and understands what I'm telling him most of the time. I try not to worry, but it seems most kids his age are saying much more.

I took my almost 2 1/2 year old son to see Cars today. I was amazed with how long he sat still. If we would have skipped the previews, I know we would have seen the whole movie. He just sat back and ate his popcorn and it lasted for about an hour and a half. He was a little scared when we walked into the dark theater filled with strangers but once he was in my lap he was great.

What was your experience like?

I did realize afterward, that if I would have taken him after a trip to the park instead of after his nap, he probably would have been a little less crazy after we left the movie. He was very difficult at dinner and went to bed an hour later than normal. I was still proud of him for watching the movie for so long.

My son seems to sweat wherever its warm, not even hot. I can be in a warm roon with him and he sweats, a lot sometimes. I've watched him and another toddler in the same room and the other and I didn't sweat a drop. His dad has the same problem, he always seems to be hotter than me, I think its cause they both have fast metabolisms. Does anyone know the medical reason why? Is this normal?

My daughter has been on a consistent routine since she was born. 7:30 bath and 8pm sleep. For the past few months she has been staying up much later. She won't stay in her bed or her room. She doesn't seem tired and we spend a lot of time trying to get her to bed. She usually naps during the day and I am wondering if we should do away with her naps so she's more tired at night. Any and all suggestions welcome.
