My son seems to sweat wherever its warm, not even hot. I can be in a warm roon with him and he sweats, a lot sometimes. I've watched him and another toddler in the same room and the other and I didn't sweat a drop. His dad has the same problem, he always seems to be hotter than me, I think its cause they both have fast metabolisms. Does anyone know the medical reason why? Is this normal?

Maybe it is his metabolism... I break into a sweat even when its cold outside and I move around just normal... But I do have an unusually strange metabolism, because I love to eat but never gain weight... maybe your son and husband have similarities? Ask your doctor... to make sure there isn't anything abnormal with his metabolism or anything else... perhaps it's just that he's an active 16 month old. My 20 month old plays under a fan and gets sweaty all the time... and his doctor always tells us he's pretty healthy...

Girl its normal I have a five year old that sweats even with the ac on I took him to the pediatrican and he said that its normal. He said that sweating is good for the body it doesn't let you be dehydrated and its good for his pores and his dad is the same way always with the fan I call him the hot asses lol but don't worry its normal everyones body is different and if we were all the same what would be the point of living so don't trip its all right.

It's nothing to worry about. My first son did that too, and he's almost 6 now, healthy as can be. I just kept him in really light clothing and of course, gave him a lot of baths. Some kids just sweat more.

It could be over active sweat glands.

Some people are more prone to sweating a lot than others.

Maybe his dad has high blood pressure or high cholesterol or his family members have it. It's comes from family generation. If he has those symptoms then your son is higher risk. You should take your son to the doctor for a checkup. Dad needs to go to.
