Personally I think there is nothing sweeter than watching your child sleeping. They look so perfect and angelic it makes you wish you could keep them young forever. My two boys are ages five and 19 months. Do other moms have this feeling too?

In most cases, sanitation has taken care of the risk factors for many of these rare and many times, not fatal diseases.

But how heavily weighed are the side effects and odds of getting any number of permanent disability from so many vaccines introduced to infants at such an early age?

Are corporations really setting the standards and forcing the laws, being more of a case for money and not proven health benefits?

And where is there protection for the children for the hundreds of other diseases and conditions children can contract?
Where will it reach a point of ridiculous when hundreds of vaccines are forced on children before they enter school, effectively making the certain vaccines more likely a hazard than the uncertain illness?

I am a working mom of seven, the two eldest are away at school so we have five living at home-14,12,5,3&18months. All the kids are in bed by nine fifteen and I turn my 14yr old's light out at 9.45pm. He is always complaining that his bed time is too early but generally my husband and I are in bed by 10 or 10.30pm, I tell him I like to shut the whole house down before I go to bed. Aside from this he is a kid who really needs his sleep.
Both my 12&14yr old say its weird we go to bed so early and cliam it is just for sex(which makes me cringe although it is partly true). I am a working mom&he stays at home so we dont tend to get too much time to ourselves during the day.Is it weird that we are in bed this early?I am now pregnant with triplets so I really only go to bed to sleep as I am exhausted but in general, is it strange to want to go to bed with your husband so early. We are up at 6 and its go go go all day.How can I stop my kids' thinking of it the way they do?

My aunt has two boys, out of control boys, and her 12 year old has been on ritalin for about 5 years, maybe more but I will say 5 to be sure. I have told her many times to talk to her doctor and get him off of them but she insists he needs them, well he needs something, hes way out of control, but I really think its their parenting skills that have made him this way, and he shouldn't be punished by taking ritalin. Should I stay out of it, or try to get her to talk to the doctor and get him more help on his behaviour and get him off the ritalin? Hes an awesome kid when hes with me, but at home hes bad.

I was asking because my neighbour is in the habit of leaving her children unattended for long periods of time and I thought I had better check up before I said anything. I didn't expect mouthfuls of abuse. I know what you were thinking ~ just don't jump to conclusions, please.

Years ago, I was told this was so. And at what age is it legal to leave a child on their own in the house? What is the minimum age required by law for a baby-sitter - in the UK.

My 3 year old son, Jason started Head Start about 6 weeks ago. He has been invited to a birthday party on the 17th. I don't know the child or the parents. In fact I really don't know any of the parents or kids in his class. Should he go to this party??? And what should I get for this child. I think it is a boy and his invation is from the movie " Cars". HOw much would you spend on a child you don't know? What do you think? Would you do it? I am going to stay their for the party! I am not going to just drop him off.
Thoughts and ideas for a present. I think this child is turning 4.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
Jennifer

I have tried several different approaches to get my child interested in doing her homework. Nothing has worked. I have been told by someone to completely stop mentioning homework to her, and let her be in charge of her homework -- even if it results in her failing class(es). This is somewhat overwhelming. Do you know of anything that could help?

I wanna know who I should call/talk to if I think I know of some kids that are getting abused. I mean not physically abused, but like their parents dont give them baths, they get ignored, their mom is so damn lazy, that even though her son is old enough to eat solid she gives him milk in a bottle. AND when they act bad, the dad locks them in their room all day and they use the bathroom on themselves ect. Who should I call? Can I remain anonamous?

My daughter is very clingy at bedtime, when she was 3 had some medical problems and always slept in my bed for precautionary reasons, now she is older and perfectly healthy but just doesnt want to sleep in her bed. I try to lay down with her till shes asleep, but she wakes up and comes to my bed, cries and screams if i leave her alone whether in her bed or my bed. She has nightlight, fav toy, door open, but wont go to sleep on her own.

I have a very hard time with this. I just want to know if anyone has a reason they've heard or used themselves that justifies doing this to your baby... a infant that DEPENDS on you. I have 2 former friends that are doing this. Drugs I can somewhat understand, as they are an addiction that is near-to-impossible to quit without help and a strong resolve.

Why do parents spoil their kids? I understand parents want their kids to have things they never had. But what about morals, how about teaching them how they (parents) got to where they are. I've seen a lot of kids grow up to be really cocky, and disrespectful toward others especially if others arn't in the same class as them. I was raised "I'm not better than anyone else". Any answers or comments?
