...Bring you closer to God?

(I know this question can be asked for mothers as well, but I would like to hear from men, as I am a man myself.)

You bet, having a child ends your immortality... The reality of the responsability has you worry about what happens if I die. That in turn has you consider death, and God and the Miracle of life he just helped you create....There is nothing more wonderful in this world than the experience of having a child , and theres only one possability for that miracle, God And knowing God and seeing his beautiful work brings you closer to him.

It definitely brought me closer to God. Each of us, who believe, seem to have a different twist on our relationships with God. Mine involves turning my life over to Him each day. The moment I try to take control of my own life, God steps in to show me who is really in control. In praying for the arrival of my daughter, I handed it all over to Him, and in following His guidance, life has changed in new and amazing ways.
Having a child is a gift from God. Looking at your child and how you feel about that child can also give you a great appreciation for God's sacrifice with giving His own son to save us all.
I feel sorry for those who do not believe. If there is no belief in God, what do you have? God bless.

I am answering for my husband... No. (I wish it did though.)
As for me, It totally brought me closer to God. I pray all the time now, where I might have once a year or so before.

Honestly, yes. I realized that I was no longer merely a bystander/witness to the miracle of birth and life but a direct participant.

depends..was god in your life already, if so maybe it does! As for me...no it didn't..it brought me closer to children, not necessarily mine, all kids, all ethnic backgrounds, all religions, even if there are in perfections....god gave them a heart and lets his blood flow through their veins.....so if you think about it.....it actually does bring you closer to him weather you realize it or not.

My husband says it gave him a bigger appreciation for god's gifts, and a better understanding of miracles. He prays now all the time becasue he is so thankful.

Yes because I prayed to god to help me get prego with my daughter and I did get prego with her. She is the best thing that has happened to me. I think that god sent her to me to change my life because I was heading on the wrong path
