I am not trying to be a smart a*z but i think that every kid is special in their own way and each has abilities beyond that of his or her age (that is expected).

Last summer I taught my 5yr old how to surf, he snowboards too but there are many young kids on the snow slopes. Dunno if it is impressive that he can surf at such a young age but it took my older kids a little longer to get the hang of it.
It was really such a neat experience that I find it very special.

My 11 year old can draw from memory and the drawing looks just like a photo!

I didn't think so until I saw what kids are expected to do by the end of kindergarten--my 3 year old can do all of them and more.

My 12 yr old son is 4.0 student. He currently is in several 7th grade classes. He has tested out of every subject in his current 6th grade year. couldn't be prouder.

my grandson sounded out the word "ORGANIC" when he was 2 1/2. he is very smart kid. new his abc's by 2, was adding and subtracting by 3. he is 6 and continues to amaze us with his brilliance.
