My boyfriend and I had an unexpected pregnancy and I decided I was going to keep my baby.I am now 4 months pregnant. At first he was going to stick around and said we'd move in together and then he started speaking to his friends and older brother. That's when he was told to move out of the state, hide like a coward, never see the baby, not pay child support, and pretend the whole thing never happened. Now he wants to move back to his home state and hide. This is not a paternity issue he knows the baby is his. If he doesn't want to be involved (I think it's wrong) then so be it, but doesn't his family (particularly the grandparents) have a right to know and decide for themselves if they want to be involved? Should I take it upon myself to tell his family if he doesn't decide to at least do that? I'm furious that he thinks he can just pretend the whole thing never happened and he will never have to see his daughter!

My son is 17 and has a 6 month old daughter, Charlotte. When he was 16 he got his girlfriend pregnant and she origionally wanted an abortion but my son talked her out of it becuase he did not want to lost his baby. He told her that he would take care of the baby when she was born, and that if she didnt want to be in there daughters life that was her problem, but he was not going to be like that.

When Charlotte was born her mother signed over all her parental rights and my son is her only gaurdian.

Recently my sons ex girlfriend, has been harassing my son and telling everyone at school that he stole her daughter, that he's brainwashing her and will lie to her about her mother when his daughter gets older.

She is in most of my sons classes, and her harassment is a huge distraction and he's very hurt by her comments. He tried to get himself moved into different classes but the school seems not to care much.

I dont know what to do, I feel like theres somthing I should be doing

I'm only 13 but I'm so scared that my children in the future are going to make the same mistakes as me. I don't want then to feel like I'm holding them back from things, but I also want them to be safe. It would be so upsetting if I hurt them in anyway or if they hated me. Please help.

When I first went to college I found it weird the amount of kids that did not know how to do laundry. I Saw so many pink shirts that weren’t supposed to be pink it is not funny freshman year. My mother taught me in like 6th or 7th grade and by 8th I had to do my own every week. If I did not wash my clothes I had nothing cleaned to put on. Also I met kids that their parents still cleaned their rooms and brought the food to the table and cleared it.. They had no idea how to do anything for themselves. Even after college I found people that couldn’t even make something simple to eat for themselves so the ate out all the time not because they want to but because they have to that is just sad I am a parent now and I know my daughter will clean her room and learn to wash clothes because I am not doing it for 18 years or GOD forbid later

Because of him running his mouth all over town I've had to stop socializing altogether. I feel kinda bad because if he really knew me, hed up and kill himself or something. What Im asking is I need help with coping strategy. Can someone help me come out of the closet and tell him Im straight?

I do. Rght now, my son's friend is making me wish I did not have ears. I would rather have a leg amputation without anesthesia than to suffer this little prick for another hour. God, I hope his mom and dad return promptly...

My son is started to get really attached to me. If someone else is holding him and I'm around he'll fuss or cry and reach out for me (which makes me feel really bad for the person holding him) and when I leave him places he screams when I leave...As much as I love knowing that he wants to be with me, I would like for him to not be so upset with me leaving him. I'm a full time college student in my last year. I leave him with my parents every day while I'm class so it's something I though he'd get use to...but it's been 2 months now and he's not. I know this is very common and a normal phase for a child to go through....but ss there anything I can try with him to help him with this? Anything that worked for any of you? ....by the way...he turns a year old in 2 weeks..I hear this is about the right age for this stage...

Before anyone goes off on me, this is just from my experience. Whenever I go to any public place, the kids that are running around the store, getting into stuff, yelling back at their parents, knocking stuff off the shelfs, being loud, are dressed like little ragamuffins, seem to belong to the parents who are dressed in old ratty clothes, look like their hair hasn't been washed in a week, and are pulling out their food stamps to pay for their groceries. The parents that are dressed clean and neat, have their hair groomed and are paying for their own groceries, seem to have well behaved children.
Please don't take me as judgemental, cause this is exactly what I see when I go to the grocery store every single time.
