Very proud and amazed. My one year old did this the other day and I started crying all over again with pride.

It would make any problem that I was having at the time, seem to vanish. A childs hug/love is the best thing to help in hard times, it makes you realize that you are here for a reason, and the world can be an easier place just knowing you have the love of a child to hold on to.
Have a wonderful evening and take care!

My son has done this...and it made me feel wonderful. The bond between a mother and a child can NEVER be broken nor interferred with. When my son does this I know that I am doing something right with him. Liek I have taught him how to use his feelings and how to comfort...and he will be able to use this in many years to come. As will your child!

I would feel better. I was sitting on my bed crying and my four year old son was shocked to see me crying b/c he has never seen me cry before. and he asked me why i was crying and then he gave me a hug and he said i love you mommy and don't worry i will take care of you and i will fix you if you are broken. Although i don't want my son to feel he has to take care of his mommy he already knows how to comfort people. he is caring and compassionate. That episode made me realize that as long as i have that little guy i will always be ok. b/c as most of us parents know we need our children just as much as they need us. they just steal our hearts forever. That bond and love lasts forever.

I remember when I just went into labor and everyone was sleeping, I was sitting in a corner with pain in my bathroom crying of course and my son woke up and opened the door and said "it's okay" and he gave me a hug. I wanted to die, I'll never forget that moment before his sister came that we share

accept it. My son use to do that when he was about 1 years old. Today he has become very sentive to the needs of others but be careful not to be too dependant on it or your child may feel frustrated, try to do it in private if you can.

They do that. Makes me wanna cry even more.
Mine touches my hair and says "i love you mommy" and gives hugs. That just makes me feel like everything is okay again (even only for that moment)

My children do ths. It says to me "we love you mommy and don't like to see you hurting." My daughter can sense when something is wrong and will make me little cards to cheer me up. Kids are so wonderful. Be proud that your little one is very loving and wants to make you feel better.

that happened to me once and it broke my heart. I was in a very abusive relationship, and her father had just tried to smother me in front of her. She was 2, and came to me as i was sitting in the corner on the floor with her blankie and wiped the tears from my eyes. That one episode prompted me to leave her father and never go back.
