GOD YESSSSS!!! most kids are stupid and idotic. my daughter was not, my granddaughter is not, most of my friends' kids are not, due to the fact that their parents exert some discipline and control over their children's behavior. most parents out there just say "let the kid be a kid" and allow them to go insane wherever they may be. thanks for the vent!!

As a whole no. On unique case by case basis, I'm right there w/you in your pain.
I have a pretty high tolerance rate for rowdy or whiney kids but I can't stand when people tell me their parenting skills are to do the "opposite" of their parents. OK you're a well adjusted whatever because your Mom gave you a glare now and then or your Dad whacked your rear end on occassion. I know growing up in our old neighborhood... the crossing guard, your neighbors, teachers, Aunts & Uncles could intervene and you'd get a talking to on the spot and you knew you'd get worse when you got home. If you so much as say excuse me to a child in the grocery to get out of the way... 7 out of 10 times you're gonna get a confrontational parent. Next time I'll let the cart smack the brat.

I SURE DO!!! People tell me all the time how well behaved my children are! Because... they are! I will not tolerate screaming and temper tantrums at home or in public! And my kids know it!When they were younger I would leave stores if they were misbehaving. I, in a way feel sorry for my kids because they are polite & respectful, so many children aren't. l don't understand people that let their kids act like heethens everywhere they go.I would love to approach those parents and say " Hey Dumb-*** do you think anybody in here was to listen to this? For just 1 minute be a good parent and make your kid shut the hell up!'' The really sad thing is these people who are little now will be in charge of the world in 20-25 years. Scary!

Sadly yes, especially little boys between the ages of 7 - 11. It seems being an annoyance takes up at least 75% of waking hours, the rest is making a mess while performing bodily functions.

Well, first of all, he's up too late. He should've gone to bed at 8pm. So he's tired. What did you feed him in the past 2 hours? If the first 4 ingredients included Sugar, corn syrup, or high fructose anything you should kick yourself. It would be great if you'd get off the computer and pay him some attention. Watch a movie together??? Read a book? How old is he? I do not every HATE other people's kids. His behavior is a product of his environment. You need to ask yourself what have you done to enrich his life and what has his parents done to enrich his life. If neither of you have done anything to be a part, then start doing it now!

We all tend to make allowances for our own.Two kids are playing together, but one of them is nasty.Wonder why and why it's always the other kid. This is life,we can easily see other peoples faults. However we are impervious to our own.Even if a friend or family member, dared to give you good advice.Which you reject completely, they'd also go down in your estimation.Bet when that kid goes home he'll say everything was fine except his pals dad. He's(the dad)a bit grumpy, won't let his boy do nothing

I think it's wrong to hate any kids but there is some kids that I wish I didnt have to be around. But try to talk it out with the childs parents and tell them how you feel and maybe it will get you somewhere. Or try to influence your child to find a new good friend.

i dont hate all of the kids of other parents, some can be descent if the parent is actually doing thier job instead of living in thier "my little angel can do no wrong!" world!!!
i have seen some at work that i just want to tell the parent to either watch thier child or get out of the store!! many act disrespctful toward others since you are of no relation to them and they feel that they will not be punished for what they do around you. my little sister-in-law is like that around us when i first was with my husband she felt that she didnt have to listen to me if i asked her to not do whatever it was she was doing. but my husband and brother-in-law would make sure that she got a punishment if they found ot she wasnt listening

Children are the future. That said political correctness killed parenting. If I whined in a store I got yelled at and knew I was in some deep trouble when I got home. Parents these days (not all) tend to let their "little angels" get away with anything.

I think maybe his parents feel the same way, otherwise you would not be stuck with him right now. Of course, they won't return promptly. They are taking a break from him.
I've had to deal with much the same thing. It can be an ordeal.

I totally agree with you 100%!! I love my two little girls more than the world! We do everything together, I am even a stay at home mom. But I can't stand babysitting and I really really really have no patience for other peoples kids! I think it's natural, kids are little snots. But we are wired to love our little munchkins. I bet you have the cutest little kids in the world! As I feel the same way about my little girls. But switch kids for a day and boy oh boy...
