I never heard of a 12 year old on food stamps .In my state you have to be in some kind of school or working to get foodstamps .Most of the time their on parants gotta sign also.I am sorry she had to lose her child hood b/c her own mom and dad can't raise her the way she should have been raised .Where where they when she had sex in the frist place they should had that kid so bussy doing stuff and after school stuff so she would not think about other things to get into . That is the matter with sooo meny ppl they have kids when they are newborns they love and care for them and then they found out that they realy do grow up .They don't have time for them at all .So what is a child her age do go have a baby of her own so she can feel love from it .Which is so sad.when she is 18 her baby will be 7 years old .How sad or I think it is .So if her mom did not show love and care for her 12 year old gril how in the world is this young child that has now had a baby show her 1 year old love and care ? I think reproting is something to think about .But I reather see someone take her to the health department in some state they have programs that helps young ppl out .Like how to care for baby .What you need and need not to do like a training .Some parnant classes can help to .She needs support from other not people that is going to bring her down she needs to be uplifted. But I do think that if she is mistreating the foodstmps then she does need to be reported b/c that is for her baby not for her.I would talk to her about safe sex also. There should be programs in your town .If she drinks all the time then she is depressed she needs rehab .If she mistreats this baby then report her for abuse .But as far as I can tell she does not care for her baby like she should if she did she would not be so worried about all the liquor and cigarettes and hoochie outfits .So there is my 2 cents...Keep your legs cross which is what her mom should have tought in the frist place..

Wow - she's 12 people, I don't even think law applies to her yet, and certainly not in a harsh way. I think she is scared and messed up. How is she living alone at such an age? I don't think anyone will rent a place to a 12 year old on welfare. In fact, I'm not so sure a 12 year old can even apply for welfare. Unless she is living with her parents, she and her baby could become wards of the state and enter the foster system. If this situation truely exists, you should take her to a social worker and be sure you are setting a good and stable example for her. If you are able, take her into your own home.

Sounds to me like she was not raised in a very good environment. If she was, she would not be allowed to have those cigarettes, the liquor, or the hoochie outfits. She should have given that baby up for adoption. That baby is the one to feel sorry for.

Kids are getting away with more now days and sex is being portrayed as fun and cool.

Sounds like she seems to have it all figured out.
She should be ashamed of herself. There are people out there who work their fingers to the bone, barely scrape by and not even qualify for food stamps. That little girl needs to get a life and do the right thing which is...go back to school, have a part time job, quit drinking and be there for her child.
Where are HER parents? She is 12 years old, so where does she live? Obviously her parents to give a ****, that`s how it all starts...it becomes a vicious cycle from then on...

11 and 12 year old babies are having babies because their parents are parenting. Children that old should be in bed by 8:00 pm without someone of the opposite sex sharing their beds. Heck they shouldn't even be having boyfriends/girlfriends. And where is social services in this situation???? The child should be in foster care, if not in the care of her parents and the baby should also be in protective care, preferablly not under the same roof as the birth mother.

That is so sad... Unfortunately there is nothing that anyone can do about these little girls having children. I have a daughter and she is 3 years old but as she gets older I will be on top of everything that she does. Alot of these parents let they children get out of control and it is so sad. I blame parents because they are the ones who should be in control of they children.

Now a days parents do not care and alot of these parents had they children at the same age 11,12 etc...

where are her parents?! She's 12, just because she had a baby doesn't mean she's a suddenly a grown up. She shouldn't be getting a job right now, isn't that illegal for a 12 year old to work? She needs to concentrate on school. If she's drinking alcohol, she needs to have that baby removed from her care ASAP. If you know that this is going on, it's your responsability to report her. Don't let her innocent baby suffer.

Even if this is true, a 12 year old cant get a job and I highly doubt the state would permit her to keep a baby.

That's what has happened to our society, people don't teach their children anything!l have a 10 year old I know what she's doing all the time. That IS my responsibility- I am her mother! Your niece will have no idea how to parent because her parents didn't take the necessary steps to raise a decent member of society! Just another welfare recipient!

Sounds like child protective services should have been involved a long time ago. That poor little baby will never have a life.
