Hi, I know this is kinda weird, but Im doing some research for my brother, His girlfriend says she was 9 weeks pregnant, she went for her first dating scan - when they scaned they said there was no fetal heartbeat and that the pregnancy had ended, she says that they sent her home - surely they would have to take what was left of the baby out? What I want to know is: WHAT IS THE PROCEEDURE AFTER YOU ARE TOLD THE BABY HAS DIED AND YOU ARE 9 WEEKS PREGNANT - cheers

My husband and I are trying to figure a way I can be a SAHM with our first baby. I need to figure out a work schedule in case I have to work 32 hours a week. My mom has a daycare so my baby would be with her if I worked.

What schedule would be best when I have a newborn baby:

Monday-Friday: 9:30am to 4pm
Tuesday-Friday: 8am to 4pm (Have Mondays off)
Monday-Friday: 10:00 to 4:30pm
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8am to 4pm (Have Wednesdays off)

Any ideas? If I work I have to work 32 hours to keep our medical insurance and I CAN'T work from home.

I am just wondering beause it seems like more people now a days are having kids so young!! I am only nineteen years old, and my husband is twenty two, and we have been married for about a year. So, we dont want to have kids yet for about at least two more years....I still need to finsish school! Anyways, I was thinking that by the time we actually give birth and have a baby he will probably be twenty five and I will be twenty two!!! Is that old?

Am I suppose to still have hemorrhoids 6 months after giving birth? I drink plenty of fluids, 90 onces of water a day to be exact and I take some Metamucil Fiber Powder. I also have really bad constipation and I went 3 months without having a bowel movement. My hemroids are bloody and a little painful. I havent really lost any pregnancy weight, just a couple pounds here or there. I've been working my a** of at the gym lately. That scale doesnt want to budge! Is it normal to have hemorrhoids and constipation 6 months after pregnancy?

I am 34 weeks pregnant and my mom and her husband are smokers. I am not around them a whole lot but when I am they both light up right in front of me. I used to smoke but I quit a long time ago. I want to say something to them but they both get really defensive whenever you say anything negative about what they do. They live a block away and I know we'll be seeing a lot more of them when the baby is born but I don't want my little girl being around all of that smoke. What are some tactful or nice ways to tell them not to smoke around my baby without them getting pissed off at me. Normally I speak very bluntly and my mouth gets me in trouble. I'm trying to figure out how to tell them as nicely as possible.

WHY??? She says he doesn't pay attention in class. .... As if it's MY fault??? She wants me to talk to him about it.

I don't call HER and whine: "Your student won't go to bed on time. You need to have a talk with him about that tomorrow in class!" ... Why is this my problem???

My family and my husbands are both small, my daughter is only 28 lbs. but for 3 weeks straight she is eating tons of food (more than me) Some people have said maybe she is going to go through a major growth spurt, maybe she has worms. (i've checked her poop) I am going to take her to the doctors but do any of you have any ideas or had the same thing happen?

I know I am in a bad situation xo please keep the negative comments to yourself. I am recently divorced and have children with my ex. I kept his last name, so I would have the same last name unless I remarried. Problem: I am pregnant and the father (not my ex) originally said he would be involved and I have not talked to him in 3 weeks. Should I give the baby his last name anyway, my ex's last name (which has been my name for 10 yrs), or my maiden name?? I am in Alabama.

This is odd. I just answered a ? about how long a full term pregnancy is. According to the medical profession, a full term pregnancy is 36 weeks and up. At 36 weeks, it is safe to deliver a baby, it's considered full term. An ob/gyn doesn't allow women to go over 42 weeks.

Yet... I saw thumbs down for many people who answered it correctly.

I find it sort of interesting... people want the answer and yet disagree with something that is actually correct?

My period still hasn't came and I'm about 12 days late. I took a pregnancy test about 2 days ago and it came out Negative. I'm feeling slight pains in my lower back and occasional "shock" feelings by my lower abdominal. I'm thinking I've been experiencing these feelings because of worrying and they're "making me feel like I have the symptoms." Am I pregnant?

Hi! My sister has two boys...

Hunter Daniel
Fisher Michael

She is pregnant again and is not finding out the sex of the new baby. She is looking for a cute girl name and a cute boy name to go with the two brothers' names -- In the same theme...

Thanks... We are stuck. Since she never really planned on having more than two kids she didn't plan to have to come up with a third name!

I asked this question a few months ago and got some decent responses, but nothing that really stood out, especially for a girl... Any suggestions?

Hellooo ladies. I've always wondered some of the strangest things about pregnancy. You'll probably die of laughter, but they're genuine questions and I'm looking for genuine answers.

- Can the woman crush the baby (at all times during pregnancy) if she, for example, bends down too far to pick up something she dropped?
- What do you do if you want to make the baby stop kicking? Is it painful?
- Can the baby make any noises inside your stomach (as in, late into pregnancy, close to labor, can the baby coo or moan inside the stomach itself?)
- How did you sleep when you were close to labor? Does the baby push up into your lungs when you're lying down? Was it hard to sleep?
- For those who have had both a daughter as well as a son, can you tell me your experiences with both gender's pregnancies? Were they different at all?

Thank you!! =)

I kept taking prenatal vitamins until 5 months after my baby was born because I was still breast feeding him. Then I stopped breastfeeding and stopped the vitamins, but I am very tired, my hair is falling out, and I get dizzy when I stand up sometimes. Should I keep taking the vitamins? My friends say I should because I could be anemic because my body was used to so much extra iron and now I'm not getting enough.

This has bothered me for years. We are no longer together but I should know if I was unreasonable. I was taken into hospital with reduced fluids on Friday a.m. and finally had C-section Sunday midnight. During that time, he left to go home and to work, leaving me alone with a baby that didn't want to be born just yet.

Reasonable or unreasonable? His work was not critical (police or doctor as examples) but people did need his advice.
Oh, and he was supposed to get a camera to take pics and write the birth announcement. He borrowed a camera. All the pictures of the baby are just blurs and he never wrote the announcement. (I was full of morphine and developed a severe flu after the birth).

It still makes me sad thinking back, as women do.

The kid turned out great!

My husband and I chose to only have 1 child. Our reasons were varied. We wanted to be able to give her many things that we didn't have as children, the world's population is already outrageous, finacially it made much more sense, and many other reasons. I want to know why you chose to have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. children. Too me, my family is just as great as the one with 8 people in it. I am asking this because I was actually rudely questioned about my desion yesterday by my OB/Gyn.
