Try "colic drops" which is a herbal formula which helps relieve colic to some degree. 1 drop per kg. I used to give my daughter "Bricks colic drops" but there are many other brands out there to choose from.

A massage with warm oil and a warm cloth on the tummy helps too.

Giving the baby something to suck on like a pacifier can help to comfort him.

Goodluck with whatever method of comfort u choose!

Uugh! The colic. My kids had it for nine months. Are you nursing? It may be the baby is very sensitive to things in your diet. Try this for 24 hours: avoid all dairy, eggs, green vegetables, nuts, chocolate, peanuts, apples, and citrus. You can eat potatoes and carrots for vegetables and have breads, cereals and meats. If the colic totally vanishes, slowly reintroduce one at a time the foods you left out until you find out which ones cause colic. Colic can be an 8-12 hour delayed reaction to what you ate.

Talk to your doctor about probiotics. They recently did a study that found that nearly 75% of colic babies treated with probiotics cried less after 28 days. Its something you can even get over the counter. Here's a link to the article: http://www.nutraingredients-usa.com/news/ng.asp?n=73215-biogaia-probiotic-reuteri-colic

I was colic as a baby. My mom said I was calm when I was on my grandma's lap. (Not making fun of her, but my grandma was really heavy). When I laid on her stomach the pressure would help. So if you know someone like that, then maybe that would help.

Talk to your ped first, but I switched my last baby to Carnation Good Start formula, and I never got her bottle very warm. I just bought jugs of water and mixed it at room temperature as she needed and she was the best baby in the world. Good Start is a lot easier to digest and it is a miracle in the formula section. The odd thing is, it is much cheaper than the others, too. Good luck to baby and to you!

When my kids were little they couldn't tolerate formula with iron in it (gave them a belly ache). Also make sure you are getting the baby to burp, as this will cause discomfort.
