If more than one child, how much each time?

Just hoping for some opinions on this one...I have been invited to the baby shower of my husband's friend's wife, whom I have known for three years. To be clear, I can not stand this woman; she is cold, aloof, and more than slightly in love with herself. We have zero in common, and on the rare occasions when we have been forced to co-exist, you could have cut the awkward silence with a knife. Her shower is in 3 weeks at a resturant 30 miles away and I would honestly rather eat shards of broken glass than have to attend. To complicate matters, my husband seems unable to understand that the baby shower issue is a sensitive issue with me to begin with, as he had a vasectomy before we met and it is not likely that I will ever be able to have a child of my own...So, would sending a gift be enough? My sanity is at stake here!

How do you adjust to the changes that a new infant(s) bring. My pregancey was planned, with my husband, we discussed it throughly. Yet after the babies are here it has been a tough adjustment for us both. I find him starring into sky at times. Whenever one of us heads for the door, we automaticly grill each other to what time the other will be back. I didn't feel like this after my first child was born. It has been five years since a baby was in the house( now we have 2 babies( twins). I really need some advice about how to cope both of us are really trying. I was not a new parent so I didn't think it would be this difficult for us. The only person that seems to be adjusting well is their big brother. I thought these feelings would be gone by now. I knoe PPD may be the cause, but this has made me question my whole life, I thought I was smart and knew what was best for me obviously i was wrong? Any suggextions to how familes adjusted to changes in the household ?

you were just starting to really show? Right now I'm 17 weeks pregnant and I'm stuck as far as my clothes go. I can't wear my jeans anymore and I'm down to just a pair of wind pants I have that still fit me. My shirts still fit me. I wear scrubs to work so I don't have to worry about this during the week but on the weekends when I go places, I don't have anything to wear. I don't want to go maternity shopping just yet b/c I know as soon as I do, my belly will start growing out of control and I'll be buying clothes every 2-3 weeks. What are some good ideas you might have for me? I mean like maternity jeans, how long can you really wear them? Do they stretch really good but are still small enough to fit good? Please help!

What is the greatest thing a father can give to his child?

I have already been working out, getting ripped because I want my child to see physical fitness as a regular activity, like cleaning your room, brushing your teeth...
We eat no junk in my house so thats set...

What lesson would you have wanted to hear from your father? What example could he have/did set?

I ask this question as im suprised by the myths surrounding this subject. Doctors all agree that having periods while pregnant is impossible, you would be losing your endometrial lining, which cannot happen without miscarrying. Having periods during pregnancy would be miracle compared to virging birth.

But still i find people claiming this, and whats even worse, they are offering it as an answer to people worryed from bleeding during pregnancy. There are several reasons why one can bleed when pregnant, some not harmfull while others might be. But having your periods isnt one and claiming that it is can serously endanger some ones pregnancy if she is satisfied with that answer and dosent seek for other options.

And im sure ill now recieve tons of answers people telling how it happened to them, But concider the fact that mayby you have misinterpreted the bleeding that was caused by some other condition to be because of periods.

I've always wondered what people do if they are racing to the hospital to have a baby and a cop wants them to pull over. Do you take a bullhorn with you and tell them your wife is in labor? Do you pull over and wait the hundred years it takes them to come over and talk to you? I just want to know if anyone has any experience with this or any ideas. Thanks!

Do people not know how to raise their children or are children that out of control that parents can not raise them? Why is that so many children (15 and younger) are having children, pregnancy scares, doing drugs, and other problems?

Honestly almost every question I have looked at on here is about some 13 year old questioning why he/she is still a virgin!! You're 13 that's why!!

Is it just me that is bothered by this?

We've been waiting to be matched with a child (or children) for a year now, since approval (several years since we started the whole adoption process). Feel a bit like our lives are on hold. Have been trying for a family for nearly ten years in total.

We've done the holidays, preparing the house (as much as we can), spending quality time as a couple, etc.

Does anyone have any constructive ideas how we can pass the time while waiting?

Thanks in advance!

My ex bf and I had unprotected sex about a month or two ago. I have gotten my period for the past 2 months but neither one of them were considered to be normal. I normally bleed for 5 - 7 days and bleed really heavy to the point of going through a 48 count bag of pads. For the past 2 months now I have only bled for 2 - 3 days and have not gone through a 24 count bag of pads in the 2 month time frame. I have all the pregnancy symptoms except for the missed period. I know that u can still be pregnant and get your period. Anyways, I have taken a test that I bought from a pharmacy but it was a store brand. My period started 2 days ago and when I took the test today I was not bleeding. The result says I am not pregnant but I do not think the test was accurate. Could the fact that I had my period throw off the hormone that is used to detect a positive result? Is it possible for the test to be wrong? Has anyone else had this happen to them?
