I have 3 kids and one more on the way in 3 months. My husband and I are super excited. I have 2 girls and a boy, my oldest is Mike, then theres Kelsey and Kiley (twins) and i have a boy on the way. Mike, who's 11 thinks it's completley insain that he's in the sixth grade and I am pregnant. What should I say to make him less angry about this????

you are unable to see the sex of the baby? I know they do the ultrasound for more important reasons like checking the organs and things like that but what if you don't get to find out the sex? Do you just have to wait to see or do they schedule another one?

In your experience which is better? Do you think you can have the same birth in a hospital or is a birth center best?
Has anyone had both and can accurately compare the 2.
I already had 2 babies, both with midwives, one hospital in a tub (fantastic by the way) and one in a birth center where I was able to leave within an hour of birth. Which would you prefer?

Unfortunately this past Dec. my husband and I had a miscarriage due to a blighted ovum. I just recently took 2 pregnancy tests both came up positive. Based upon my last LMP and when I ovulated I’m barely 5 weeks. Should I wait to call my OBGYN to schedule an appt. when I’m further along or b/c I had a prior miscarriage do they usually want to see you right away…???????

What are your plans for the future?

Who is going to care for your baby when the time comes?

What about your own high school & college education?

Where is the father of your baby?

Are you planning to marry him before or soon after the birth?

Will he be involved in your child's upbringing at all?

What were you thinking when you had unprotected sexual intercourse?

Are you emotionally mature enough to become someone's mother?

How will you care for your baby's emotional needs?

Financially speaking, how will you care for your baby's material needs?

Have you thought about every eventuality?

Do you think that it is fair to ask your parents to help you out and do the job you are supposed to do yourself (on your own or with the baby's father) as the baby's natural mother?

In other words, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING WHEN YOU LET YOURSELF BECOME PREGNANT?!?

P.S. Victims of alleged rape, please refrain from responding. Thank you!

Would it be a bad thing? Why or why not? What would be some fears that people may have if it weren't legalized? What if there were no technology to do such a thing?

I'm currently pregnant and the father and I live in two different states. We were 'talking' about settling out of court because he's 50K in student loan debt.We both make the same amount of money. He won't be coming down for the birth and will only make it here a few weeks later. We were also planning to do DNA testing through a private comp in the 2 states.I'm having second thoughts.Would settling out of court give me the best results or would going through court in Georgia??How much should I expect? As it stands,he would cover insurance and pay maybe $400-$500 per month. However, his insurance requires a signed birth certificate,so it won't cover her until 6+ weeks...I'm confused about which option to choose.

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost 2 years now. We've known each other for awhile, and my mom really likes him. My parents are really religious though (pentecostal) and I know they'll be disappointed when I tell them. I'm currently in college, ending my freshman year and I intend to return after next year, so I'll be back for what would be my junior year. I was just wondering if anyone has gone through anything similar or has any advice on how to break the news in a gentler way... or maybe prepare me for what may be coming my way. Thanks!

What do you think,
a 10 year study, to show the abstinence education has no effect, Should it be updated? why or why not?
should schools have a more comprehensive sex education (talks about comdoms & birth control, reproduction, STD's, safe sex....ect.)
