Yes, I believe that ther are some harful additives in food that should be removed for the safety of the public.

This brings up several problems ...
1. What additives do we remove?
2. What additives are "safe"?
3. Who should oversee which additives should be prohibited?
4. What to do about Biotechnology? Prohibit comptely? More careful/longer testing?

I don't know these answers or even all the questions to ask. I don't even know all the areas that questions need to be asked.

So my answer is:
Yes, I think some additives should be eliminated.
No, I do not know which ones?
No, i don't even know how to determine which additives should be removed.

I think the best answer, for now, is better labling. Whe need to know not just what is included but also what items have been altered or tampered. What dangers these items pose.

Then as the consumer we would be armed with enough, or at least more, information to determine what is an exceptubale risk weiged against the benefits. We then can determine what we want to let our kids ingest.

I believe that there needs to be regulations but there also needs to be personal responsibility. We need to take responsibility for our actions including what we eat. We DO need to have the necessary information to make a good decision. Sometimes are decisions may in retrospect be incorrect so then they need to be re-evauluated as time goes on and new information is available.
