Isnt it too soon to affect your period? The first day was just spotting than the next two have been heavier, but a little lighter than normal and I have never spotted before?

They live about an hour or so away from any major hospitals and don't have nearby friends/relatives to drive her. He doesn't want to pay for a cab or ambulance bill. What should she do? I'm thinking her husband is a rat and divorce wouldn't be uncalled for...but that is my husband's friend. I hate to think of a pregnant lady with one young child trying to drive herself to the hospital in labor. We're not close enough to be any use.

I am a second time mom, and started feeling kicks about 1x a day at the same time of day at 13 weeks. My whole family came down with the stomach flu 5 days ago starting with my daughter, then my husband, and I just got over it yesterday. I haven't really been feeling baby kick at all for the last 5 or 6 days. I am super worried as I have battled w/ Bacterial Vaginosis my whole pregnancy so far, and I am worried the infection was back and caused something to happen. I don't go to the OB until Wed. I am going to try to get in tomorrow instead, but is it usual for kicks to be this infrequent at this point? They had become so consistent.

I am out of my mind with worry!

I am pregnant and I think we will be struggling to pay for daycare when I go back to work. Does anyone know of any good jobs that I can work form home (i.e. customer service) Anything really. I have a pretty broad based business background and I am NOT looking for one of these get rich quick schemes. I do not want a website that doesn't tell me what the business does without me giving out my personal info. Any help?

I think there is a huge need for a financial resource guide for people in the income bracket of $1200-$2500 for a family of 1-3 people. Specifically regarding healthcare options (because usually these people can't afford private health care, but also don't qualify for subsidized programs). Ditto for school grants. Home loans. Also want to discuss DSHS medical, social security, negotiating with hospitals and doctors on bills if you are self-pay. ***There needs to be a forum for people to discuss the ever-changing policies of these institutions.*** Thinking of starting a yahoogroup specifically for Washington state (since that's where I live, and every place is different) but overall what do you think of this idea, even if you live somewhere else? Is there a need for it? Additional suggestions???

I'm looking for a way to be a stay at home mom.
I work full time at a hospital and make a respectable income, and I am the insurance holder.
My husband is self employeed and relies on the economy for company business. He also makes double the money I make.
How can I stay at home and afford insurance? My husband has diabetes so we have to have insurance.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Okay, so my husband's name is:

Hoyt Ewin Harbin IV

His great gfather went by "Chip"
His gfather went by "Buddy"
His dad goes by "Hoyt" (the first one to actually USE the name)
And my husband goes by "Win" (the dropped the "E" in the middle name)

SO, we don't know what to call the 5th.... we want a good strong, but short name.. and we thought that it would be cute to make it start with a "V" (since its the Roman numeral for 5). BUT we don't know many short, one-syllable strong names that start with "V". *He is not crazy about "Van" (I love it, though).
Does anyone have any suggestions?

We were also thinking about just calling him "V." Is that stupid??? Or maybe "Vee" ??? I don't know... we're SOO stuck.

Any advice out there???

Thanks,
Natalie

PS
our (unborn) girl's name is Nora Grace (my family), by the way.... it makes it hard to find something that goes with that name PLUS makes sense for the legacy name... :(

Thanks for any help!!!!

I provide childcare for the nine-month-old daughter of a friend. She dropped her off today coughing, sneezing, and vomiting. I called to have her picked up, but I feel guilty because her mom had to call in sick to work. I have four kids of my own. What should our policy be, when I'm sick, any of my kids are sick, or the baby I care for is sick? What's fair? I know how hard it is to miss work, so I want to be flexible.

Hello! Thanks for taking time to read this question! Your input is greatly appreciated! I am 31 weeks pregnant with my second child and i have become facinated by the concept of baby wearing. I have looked at several sling and pouch style baby carriers but most of them seem to be made for average size parents. If anyone has a good reccomendation for a baby carrier made for plus size parents or maybe a pattern to make one i would appreciate it! Thanks again!

A friend of mine turned to crack, i ended up raising her child permanantly thru the courts. At the time of custody I wasn't finacially stable so I asked my mom if she would sign for the baby. She did, i ended up married with an outstandng income. Now that I have moved out, with the child my mom is really mad at me. The whole time I lived at home I raised the baby, i cleaned vomit, changed diapers , made 3am bottles and more. My mom was just there, it was kind of like she is the grand mom and me the mom. But my mom seems to think I am wrong for moving out and taking the baby with me. When to start with the child was to come to me anyway she just signed the papers becuz I wasnt stable. What do I do? I love the baby to death, ive had her since she was 2 days and she is 19 months now, she calls me mommy and my mom na' na'....who should she be with? It hurts that we can't seem to see eye to eye, but wgat should i do?

My husband has a 4 yr old back home in florida that his baby momma just approached him with three months ago. He claims he knew there was a chance he could have gotten her preg, but they broke up a month after they had sex. So he never knew of a baby. When she called him and said they had a 4 yr old son, I was excited becuz I have had a hard itme having kids, and i LOVE children. Off top she was going off on him about seeing his son. So b4 his trip there I bought the kids sum cool stuff and made like a big a5s gift basket. At the last minute he asked me to tag along. So i did, we got htere and i got a hotel room, and rented a car. I never disrespected her by showing my face. He decided to bring Jr back to memphis with us for a month. We have been home two weeks with the lil guy. Ive taught him to call me by my first name, even tho i am his step mom. She calls OUR house daliy cursing me out. Sayin don't touch her son, dont feed him I may try to poisen him becuz Im jealous that she has >

Hi, I'm German and my husband is American. We live in the States and we are planning on having a baby in the near future. Is there anyone who is raising their child bilingual (German and English). If so, what is the best way to do it?
