Wow! That is a lot...but then again...most people around here don't even make $1500 a month working =) You all make a lot more money per hour in CA then most states do, so that makes everything more expensive.

It depends on what type of program you have your child in and how old he/she is. Generally, the younger the child, the more expensive the care. I'm in San Diego and at my school, it starts at $1100 a month for infants for full time. The cheapest full time is for 3-5 year olds at $825 a month. Smaller child care facilities (such as in home care or small private schools) can go anywhere from $450 to $700.

My day care is awesome! The rate for a full 5 days of child care is about $200. The rates differ anywhere from $110-200 a week in Maricopa County in AZ.

Here is MI (a little suburb outside of Detroit) it costs anywhere from $130-$200 a week and can get higher in areas. I think mostly it is the area where you live. If it is a 'richer' neighborhood and general income for it's residents are higher than businesses feel they can charge you more. Where I live, my county is an average county so costs stay down.

In the state of RI its around 670 For full time, my son is five, its about 630 for infants and toddlers a month, Or 130-170 a week. I ve mostley seen around here 170 a week.

I DK.My kids were all so close together I had to stay home and let the hubby work.When we tried it once it was running about 500 a week. This was 13 years ago and Thats for 3 kids.It was cheeper for me to quit work and stay home.Now they are all teens but I am Grandma now and stay home to take care of him so his mom can work and go to school.

full time for one child is 400 more or less a month if it's just a babysitter. At a business it's 235 a week like kindercare

Haha...I pay $600 a month for full time licensed care across from my house.
I live in WA, State where everything is cheaper.
I lived in San Jose, I was going broke there.
