it really varries on a lot of thing...how regular you were before, if you BF, what BC your using, and your body. it can take up 3 mos. to get your 1st if bottle feeding and much longer if your BF. but everyone is differant.

Depends on if you're breastfeeding or not or if you start on the Pill right away.
I only bled for a week just like a normal period and got the next one 4 weeks later just like normal. But I hear that's not typical for everyone.

Mine took six weeks the first time, 3 weeks the second time. And I totally disagree with the person a few answers above mine. I breastfed for a year with my first, and I still got mine 6 weeks after the birth.

All depends if you are breastfeeding. If you are, most women don't get their period again until after they are done. And if you sill don't 3 months after stopping, call the dr. But most women start ovulating about 8 weeks after giving birth if they aren't breastfeeding so they would then have their period about 10-12 weeks after giving birth. But if you bled longer during the pospartum after giving birth, you may have it a bit longer.

Mine took about three months, and I was breastfeeding exclusively. I'm told this isn't 'typical', but several other breastfeeding moms I know got theirs back within the first six months, too.

Breastfeeding delays the return of menstruation. If you are breastfeeding, you may not even get a period until you wean!
Mine returned at 10 mos PP with my first, 9.5 mos PP with my second and about 16 mos PP with my third. I was still breastfeeding each of them at the time.

Well generally after 40 days, but if you are breastfeeding the baby, then you will see it later.

I believe average is anywhere from 4-8 weeks, but that is significantly later if you breast feed.
