I was brought up to believe that there is no such thing as a silly question :-)
1. The womb would have to be under serious pressure to crush the baby. The baby is protected by the amniotic fluid that surrounds him. Now, if enough pressure was exerted on the womb to cause the amniotic sac to spring a leak, thereby draining the amniotic fluid, that would be problematic. Simply bending down should, under normal circumstances, cause no problems.
2. To calm the baby down, you could play soothing music. Anyway, the kicking is not painful, and it helps reassure the mother that the baby is alive and well.
3. Since there is no air, the baby cannot make any sounds (although he can cry silently, and the vocal cords are in working condition by the third trimester). Hiccups are caused by the baby gulping amniotic fluid, but you can't hear them.
Incidentally, another answerer wrote that the baby can drown in amniotic fluid, which is absolutely incorrect!
4. It helps to sleep propped up by pillows. This relievs SOME of the pressure of the uterus pressing on the diaphram. However, nothing seems to really solve the problem.
Anyway, even without the breathing problem, it is hard to sleep, because you can only sleep on your side, and your arms are likely to fall asleep.
5. I have sons and a daughter. Each pregnancy was different, regardless of the baby's sex.

#1 no, the baby is surrounded by a sac of fluid like a water balloon so sort of floats out of the way #2 there is nothing you can do except if you are laying on your back, you can move to your side, and the baby usually stops kicking..it is not painful, only uncomfortable when a foot gets under your rib and kicks. # 3 the baby must have air in it's lungs to make a sound, it does not take a breath until after it is born..otherwise it would inhale amniotic fluid and drown..so the answer is no. #4 most comfortable position is on your side..{I forgot which one} #5 had all boys, so can't answer this question for you. Not silly questions at all..

The woman cannot crush the baby :o) It is very well protected in the amniotic fluid don't worry.
Babies kicking isnt really painful it's more like awkward to me.. trust me if you think baby kicking is painful you are in it for the long haul during labor !
No the baby cannot make sounds yet in the woumb. but it can cry.
I didn't sleep for the last week (39th week) I may have slept a few hours here and there but its just so uncomfortable... but hey when the baby comes you never sleep either youre lucky if you get 2 or 3 hours straight before baby wakes up!!
Mostly back pain and frequent urination was preventing me of sleeping before labor.
I only have a daughter..
Good luck and take care

hello, dont worry it's not silly, my husband wanted to know these same things.
1.You cant crush the baby from bending down. The baby is really well protected in thr placenta, and is nice and tucked in.
2.I felt my first kicks around 4 months, it kind of felt like butterflys in the tummy. It was strange. After around 7 months i would get elbows sticking out, legs hands, sometimes it can be painful if they kick pretty hard, sometimes it was like he had kicked me in the ribs, towards the end he was siting around with a lot of pressure on my back. But most of the time it's just a littlr prod just letting you no there around.
3.I dont think thry can moan inside. I no they can suck there thumbs from early on.
4. Towards the end of my pregnancy sleep was really hard for me. I'd sleep for a while wake up, it can be very uncomfortable. You cant sleep many ways, so I'd sleep on my side then my son would prod me so id turn the other side hed prod me, sleeping on your back is very uncomfortable and quite painful. The best thing i discovered, is buying a pregnancy pillow, its like a big boomerand pillow, but you can snuggle in to it, with your legs and arms and it supports your tummy. I'd hjave all my house work done by 5am........ I found i could sleep in the day not so well at night.
5. I had a little boy - he's now 71/2 months, i've spoken to many mothers who comment that its all relative the same, but every pregnancy diff, i had morning sickness only at the end for example. I only have 1 child so I cant really say for sure.
I hope this helps. you.
GOOD LUCK

-I don't believe you can crush the baby I did it and mine weren't crushed.
-I drink something warm to make baby stop kicking just to see if you could. Then I wanted it to kick again. It doesn't hurt unless it is a rib.
- I don't know about noises I would like to think so because they can get hiccups. Makes your stomache kinda jump at a rythem.
- I slept on ly stomache the entire time. No I always slept well. Some women do have trouble sleeping.
- I have two girls and one on the way give me a few months and I might be able to answer the last question. My pregnancies with my girls were different from eachother.

1. No you cannot crush the baby when bending down. They are in fluid and the uterus is a strong mucsle. It will just move your innards around.
2. I put a radio on my stomach and played music. Seemed to calm him down some.
3. I am sure that they try to make sounds, but I have never heard them.
4. I had to sleep on my right side. I didn't sleep at all well. Something you will get used to once the baby is born. Had lots of heartburn.
5. I had two boys.

-I don't think you can crush the baby...as I think anything you could do that would hurt the baby would probably be quite uncomfortable for yourself
-There isn't much you can do to make the baby stop kicking...sometimes if you nudge (looks alot more like pushing your belly to the side) the baby they'll stop...or maybe just kick harder. And no, it doesn't usually hurt.
-I've heard babies can cry in there...but obviously thu all that tissue it would be impossible to hear. I know they hiccup, though
-I had a hard time sleeping throughout my entire pregnancy, it's just tough to get comfortable, especially later into it. And the baby pushed into my lungs all the time, I was carrying longways and it seemed like he was more in my chest than in my belly.
I only have sons so I can't help you with your last question...sorry!

No you can't crush the baby during normal activity, they are very well cushioned in there.
Feeling your baby move is one of the greatest and most exciting experiences in the world, you won't want to stop it (well maybe just as you are dropping of to sleep it's a bit annoying) But it isn't painful.
If the baby can make noises, you can't hear them.
The bigger the baby gets the harder it is to sleep.
Can't help on the last one, I only had girls.
