How times change! Was all the rage in the 70s, with Beano characters being whacked on a weekly basis. My husband got it at school and my mum kept a flip flop just for smacking (yes, social services have been informed!). Has slippering died a death or just gone underground like dog fighting?

I am expecting my second baby and need ideas for names. My first child is called zoe. I don't know whether this one is a girl or a boy.
I like the name sophie but do you think Zoe and Sophie sound silly together
Anyone got any suggestions?

my own dad died 2 years ago & my mum's partner is really hard to get on with. they have 2 young kids together. He always invests his time arguing with me instead of being an adult & standing back. He doesn't show me love & critisizes me for everything wrong i do - he never notices when i am trying hard to be nice to him. What should i do. I'm 10years old & this is my mums name i am asking under.

I am a single parent & sleep with my 3 children ranging from 7months to 10 years. It just feels right to have them all together with me & they are obviously very happy with this arrangement. They have all slept with me from birth. What do people think about co-sleeping.

I am 16 weeks pregnant. The guy I have been dating for 3 years off and on is my babies father. I knew that he had 3 kids by 3 different women when I first met him.2 kids live up north..(1 lives down south where we are.) I got a phone call today from a girl that says they have been together for 10 years, she found my# in his phone and that they have 3 kids together. (that makes 6!!!!!) She also said she doesn't care that he cheats, she said that she isn't going anywhere. I called him later and he said I was gulable and nieve. He got really mad, and we havent' talked since. The girl also told me that her kids will not know my child. (sigh). She also told me that john has cheated before. She said she loves the adventure in him doing it?? WHAT? Why do men cheat? And why would he lie to me for years about having more kids than what he claims? I love him so much. (i hate him right now) Why would his other g/f want him still? and me? all I can do right now is think about them being 2gether

I have an arms reach Co-Sleeper. Do I have to purchase special sheets from them? Or can I use any regular size bassinet sheets? The sleeper came with a sheet- and the label just says "bassinet sheet". I'm having trouble finding out if I need a special size sheet or if i can just use cradle/bassinet sized ones. Anyone know? Thanks.

Maybe I am just worrying or maybe I have a reason too. My last cycle started Dec 18th and I just started cramping and spotting today. We had sex early morning the day after Christmas. My period is not due again until around the 15th or so... Could the spotting be implantation? My cycle is normally 27 or 28 days

Now we want to set up ethic commitees to older women to have a child. Whay haven't we set up ethic committees for men. The arugments for an older person having a child is the same. If you have enough money to undergo the medical procedures then you probably have figured out what will happend if you die before the child is raised.

I had a beautiful baby boy a month ago, and since have been struggling emotionally. I have struggled trying to breastfeed him, but trying to get him to latch on only resulted in both of us crying hysterically, me more so from feeling incompetent . I have also been irrationally mean to my husband lately and have to force myself to get the laundry done and take a shower sometimes. Some days I feel great and am in a wonderful mood, and others are so bad that I scare myself. Is this normal baby blues for a new mother, or is this more serious?

I gained about 40 lbs while I was pregnant and I'm having a hard time losing the weight (diet alone isn't doing it.) I gained a lot of weight in my thighs and arms (and of course my belly.)

What are some good exercises I can do at home to regain my pre-pregnancy body?

Thank you :)

I have recently suffered a miscarriage. The doctors think I was up to 8 weeks pregnant. I didn't know I was until Monday and then Tuesday I was attacked with a knife and pushed against a wall and then started bleeding straight after and had severe stomach pains. After most of the night at the hospital I was told a few days later that I have a bicornuate uterus and that this is probably the reason why I miscarried. I don't know what to do. I can't cope with anymore.

Ok, so the name's I've come up with so far have been panned by the Yahoo answers forum, but how about -

'Irrigate My Spleen'

Surely that's an attractive first name for a girl? I would of course insist it be used in full at all times.

I am just wondering if there has ever been a mistake made with DNA testing. They say that DNA is always 100%, but human beings can and do make mistakes. Anyone know of any verified cases?
