It doesn't kill them it acts like conditioner and paralyses them so you can comb or pick them out of your children's hair. Don,t use straight vinegar, dilute with water. The only other benefit is that at least you're not using chemicals. I had to change what I would use on my kids hair because the lice seemed to get used to it. I found tea tree oil didn't help at all. I also found out that it doesn't matter how meticulous you are with doing your children's hair there are plenty of parents who can't be bothered. GOOD LUCK!

My daughter had head lice and the only way i found to get rid of it was to repeat treat on a daily basis with the tea tree oil shampoo..its fine for everyday use since its all natural and using conditioner when your trying to get rid of lice is a no no since the cleaner and smoother the hair the more likely the bugs will be there again...but you have to make sure your not just combing their hair you have to pick out all the eggs or else its just going to keep coming back again....its tedious but pretty much all that works since it takes 10 days for those eggs to hatch you can comb out all the bugs but the lice is going to rehatch...and im sure you already did all your comforters and pillows? as well as vacumming the beds can help or get some R & C spray and spray down the furniture and plan a day out..... The vinegar didnt work for my daughters hair at all BTW.

You can use it. It does not kill them but you need to use it outside cause it makes them run. If headlice becomes a consitant problem you the treatment then dye the hair. I had a child in my daycare that had that problem and recommended it to the mom and worked and she hasnt had it since.

No, prescription shampoo is your answer, call your doctor, they may not even need to see you in the office. This is a common problem, but not easily solved. Wash all bed linen in hot water, spray couches and chairs, anywhere heads lean against. Don't believe in old wives tales, you'll just waste time. Use the special comb to get out the nits, if you aren't vigilent, you will be revisited and doing a ton of laundry all over again.

I doubt it very much. The drugest has treatments for loice and there are several to choose from.
The old and I mean old remody is terpentine. Yes good old terpentine. It does work and has been around for hundreds of years. i think some of the modern treatments would be better now though.
Here in Thailand the poor use gasolene to get rid of lice but I sure would not recomend using it. Yes it does work.

not real sure about vinegar but i know mayo works and so does hartz dog shampoo after you use the lice shampoo. and you can use the dog shampoo daily. good luck. to keep others in the house from getting it don't let them wash their hair. let it get oily and greasy. the nits can't stick to it and there for it can not live in the hair. good luck don't to for get to clean and what you can't wash in hot water put in a trash bag and close and leave it for 14 days and then you can take it out and be good. good luck.

no, use a real lice treatment (shampoo) combined with lice combs. Wash all bedding in hot water, bleach if possible.
