My husband and I are trying to have a baby. When I get pregnant, is it ok to invite guys to the baby shower? My husband and I have a lot of male friends, and many of them have asked if they get to come to the baby shower (we'll be planning it). Many of the baby showers I've been to have been predominately women, with the exception of male family members--father and brothers of the mom-to-be.

Though I don't like the idea of unwed teenagers having babies, I never really thought much about it until my husband and I were in the grocery store the other evening. I saw this man and a woman and they had a teenage girl and teenage boy with them who both looked around 15. They had a baby in a carrier with them. They had WIC coupons and were looking for the items on their coupons. The two teens were acting so childish: goofing off, argueing loudly with each other, callind each other "butt heads", and pointing and making fun of other people. I told my husband "That can't possibly be their baby. They are just kids themselves." But they were in front of us at checkout and it was their baby. They didn't once pay any attention to that baby while we were in line, they were too busy goofing off. When the boy started laughing about something, I saw that all his front teeth were rotten, yet he had on name brand clothes. Is this what the future of our youth has come to?

He has set the situation so that you can prevent the medication induced abortion of an embryo within a young woman or the euthanasia of Koko (the sign language gorilla http://www.koko.org/ ).

That is all you know. And you have to act.

Yes, that means that you don't know that the woman chose to be there anymore than Koko did. Therefore, I reject any answer that simply assumes she is there of her own accord, because that is unclear.

THIS IS A REVISION OF THE QUESTION.

If you found out your daughter was "being" with her boyfriend, would you take her to get birth control and be accepting or would you make her break up with the guy and risk having her sneak around. My daughter is only 7 but I worry about her in the future and what should I do.

I love being responsible for another being although it can be scary at times and I also love being the one that my son looks up to, I wouldn’t trade that feeling in for the world! And I absolutely LOVE the moments that show me I am doing a good job as his mother. What are YOUR favorite thing(s) about being a parent?

For me, its constantly making sure that my son is not influenced by what other children do (especially by my misbehaved nephew's actions lol)...

The facotries that make the equiptment? the trucks that deliver them? The hospitals that allow them? The doctors that perform them? The Couples that have them? Where does the responsability end?

My definition of "unnecessary responsibilities" is anything in life that is work BUT you don't need it to survive nor advance your life.

I was considerably late last month, under a ton of stress, and was late by 14 days give or take a few. Plane rides, transferring, finals, then the stress of being late. Anxiety attacks came back that month as well. I took hpts on the 6, 7, 8, and 10th days late. All negative and not pregnant. One taken by a nurse (urine). The others were a mix of first response and clear easy. I started a light period on the 14th day missed, it went on to get heavier for one day (filling tampons, sry if thats too much info but i had a steady flow) and then it switched to more lightish and lasted a good 6 or 7 days. That was about a week or so ago that it ended. Should I still be worried despite the negative tests and getting a period? My periods are usually heavier, or i might just be thinking that because i was worried. Any input would be great. Thanks.

well im finally leaving my husband after two years. the past year is when it went all down hill. he started doing crank and we lost everything and had to move in with my mom. He would ditch me for crank, he blacked my eye. well i left him and got back with him. found out i was pregnant and he stressed me out so bad i miscarried. he stopped doing the crank for awhile and started it back up so i left him again. this time it was over. he stole my car and busted my lip. I got a protective order and filed for a divorce. Well my luck I found out i was pregnant again. well i took him back again because of the situation. everything was fine for a couple of months, then he started going to the bars and not coming home until the 2-3. he wrecked my car. well he went to court for the last time he hit me. he got put on probation and couldnt come home tell it was dropped. well i got it dropped and he was supposed to come home, i find out that he did crank all weekend and a women was with him
