My husband and I are trying to have a baby. When I get pregnant, is it ok to invite guys to the baby shower? My husband and I have a lot of male friends, and many of them have asked if they get to come to the baby shower (we'll be planning it). Many of the baby showers I've been to have been predominately women, with the exception of male family members--father and brothers of the mom-to-be.

We had a co ed baby shower. It was a lot of fun because you can get the daddy involved. There are a lot of games that you can play man vs female and couples. It was more fun than just the female baby shower.

I think you should absolutely throw her a baby shower. She's pregnant, and while it's not ideal timing by any means, pregnancy is a miracle and it's not something that should be "punished". You'll love your grandchild once you meet him/her and you'll be happy your daughter made this "mistake" because your life will be richer as a result of it. Even if you continue to be angry with your daughter throughout the pregnancy, her baby didn't do anything wrong and deserves to be celebrated. Plus, it would save you and your daughter money in the long run if you throw her a baby shower because she would receive a ton of the things the baby's going to need at no cost to you, other than food and refreshments for the guests. By the way, October/November is a perfect time for the baby shower if she's due in January.

It's your party to do what you want. Sure! Invite the guys! Your husband is part of the baby as well! I've been to many showers where husbands were also invited.

Yeah it's OK. My mom and my MIL threw us a baby shower and all of our friends and families were invited. It was my suggestion because our families hadn't met and I thought it would be a good time. Everybody had a great time, we had a dinner and a dance since both of our families like to dance. We didn't play any games, we had door prizes.

It is totally fine to invite guys! I had 2 co-ed showers. It is fun for all the guys to hang out together and the girls can play the games. You'll be shocked at how many guys actually get into the games!!
