I was considerably late last month, under a ton of stress, and was late by 14 days give or take a few. Plane rides, transferring, finals, then the stress of being late. Anxiety attacks came back that month as well. I took hpts on the 6, 7, 8, and 10th days late. All negative and not pregnant. One taken by a nurse (urine). The others were a mix of first response and clear easy. I started a light period on the 14th day missed, it went on to get heavier for one day (filling tampons, sry if thats too much info but i had a steady flow) and then it switched to more lightish and lasted a good 6 or 7 days. That was about a week or so ago that it ended. Should I still be worried despite the negative tests and getting a period? My periods are usually heavier, or i might just be thinking that because i was worried. Any input would be great. Thanks.

Hi there Dear,
I don't think that I would be worried about being pregnant. It sounds to me like even if you were pregnant you no longer are. The fact that you were bleeding as heavily as you did convinces me that you are not, at this time pregnant.
I find it a bit worrisome that you would be 14 days late last month. In my experience women are not late due to stress, that is a common myth but in reality most women will start their periods right on time in spite or earth shattering stress. We are resiliant creatures! You mention anxiety attacks and perhaps the level of stress that you experience does affect you that way, it is rather rare but evidently it does happen.
Do you have a good OB/Gyn whose opinion you respect? I would want to make sure that your hormone levels are where they are supposed to be and that you are healthy in every respect. With that information you can assume that your period was late because of the emotional things that were impacting your life at that time. In any case it was too early to tell.
I am sure that no legitimate health care provider would start you on the Nuva ring without first being very sure that you were NOT pregnant.
I would not worry about being pregnant, not at all, let that be one less thing for you to worry about. Now that you have the Nuva ring you will not have this particular stress in your life and hopefully that will make you feel better. By the way, the Nuva ring is getting excellent reports on its effectiveness and it should prove to be a great form of contraception for you. Enjoy your life and know that being pregnant is not something you have to worry about.
Be conscientious in all regards of your sexual health, you will still want to use condoms as the Nuva ring in no way protects you from STD's and that sort of thing. Make sure you have your pap smears every year and take good care of yourself. You need to take good care of YOU....no one else is going to do it!
Be happy and many Blessings to you.

STOP!!!! de-stress. take a few deep breaths. yoy're not pregnant but you're doing yourself a terrible disservice. all of this stress and anxiety is terrible for your body and if you're having anxiety attacks, you need to get some help. the attacks alone would be enough to send your cycle into a total mess! try breathing exercises. slow deep belly breaths. if you know anyone with an infant, watch the baby breath and compare it to your own. you will most likely be shocked. i wish you luck and i'll be thinking of you. namaste!

ok before everything.... your birth control approach isn't a contraceptive approach and till you're unquestionably attempting to get pregnant. i think of you urgently ought to work out a kin making plans medical institution for some appropriate suggestion on the fashion of sturdy birth control that are obtainable. a transformation in nutrition plan etc ought to reason your era to be at the back of schedule yet the two you ought to be pregnant. The adverse being pregnant attempt at this degree does not forestall pregnant. i could repeat the being pregnant attempt, and regardless of if it continues to be adverse, seek for suggestion from a doctor with the aid of fact many diverse circumstances could reason a loss of a era and this is taken under consideration necessary get it investigated.

Sounds like you really want to be pregnant and right now you are just wishful thinking (we've all done that). You had 5 negative tests AND started your period. Better luck next month!

light-heavy-light is a normal pattern. I really doubt you are pregnant.
