Im in shock still!!! I am the mom and step mom of 4 little boys and found out yeasterday that im carrying another BOY!! this is our last child and im so hurt :( i really wanted to have a daughter someday and now its simply just not possible. How can i get over this? Im happy to be pregnant and happy for this baby, i want him to be healthy and all of that, but inside i feel so "let down". He was 9oz and im 19 weeks, is that normal? Do you think they could have been wrong on the sex?

I have been told that Florida can have me change my baby's last name, which is my maiden name, to his father's last name. I have never been married and I am not married to the baby's father.

There's also this prog Healthy Baby that I wanna go to but I wanna tell my fam b/f I go... The next Healthy Baby thing is on FRI !!! AAA !!! It's only WED !!! If I woulda found out sooner I coulda prepared myself for this... I just don't want my family to find out thru other sources. How long did you wait b/f you told your folks/fam/friends & anyone else who matters ? I don't work many hrs & so I wanna get another PT job somewhere... & to also, re: Maternity Leave, you still get paid right ? How long are you allowed to go for & how much do you they give you ? Like I don't eat much & I'm concerned bout the health of the baby, esp since I don't know how far along I am !!!

I am a short woman, only 5'1. I dont have much torso for my baby to "live in". Right now I am 25.5 weeks and I notice that when I am sitting upright, leaning slightly forward, I feel him kicking very very low in my uterus. Almost so low that it feels like he is past the "crease" in my belly (where my belly meets my pelvic area).

My belly is very full - The "bump" is all the way from right under my breasts, to the crease.

Is it possible for me since there is not a lot of room, to squish him? I know the uterus protects him, but I sometimes feel like Im cutting him in half if I bend over, or sit upright.

Thanks for your answers! I really appreciate it. (Sorry if this question is dumb) :)

What do you think needs to be done to better educate the youth of today about the consequences and responsibilities of having sex. I think that if more parents educated their children better on sex then there would be less teen pregnancies. Also I think that some of these parents need to spend time with their kids and be there for them. I really wish there was a way that we all could help protect again the ignorance today that our children have towards sex and how to better educate them and let them know what can come of it. I think if more parents kept a closer eye on their kids then this also wouldn't be happening.

I MEAN HOW DOES A 14 YEAR OLD GET PREGNANT SERIOUSLY WHERE ARE THE PARENTS AT???

You know it really angers me at the number of teens that are intentionally trying to get pregnant by either tricking a guy into it, or just being selfish and thinking a baby would be fun and not thinking of how much of a responsibility it is to raise a child. I mean look at all of the couples who would love to have a child and then you see all of these irresponsible young teen-aged and even pre teen-aged girls getting pregnant because of entrapment or negligence. This really disturbs me because I don't think that people who are having kids for all the wrong reasons should be blessed like they are and the people who do deserve a child can't have one. Ugh this really does annoy the hell out of me

My X Husband has not been in my childs life since he was 7 months old and I was wondering how I can have his last name switched to mine and also if anything were to happen to me to make sure his family who's had no contact can't come in and take him away from my family. I'm remarried but, my husband is not ready to adopt him at this time. Is there anything I can do?? My son is 12 years old and the only father figure he knows is my current husband who's been in his life for the last 9 years. I can't force my husband to adopt him but, I want to make sure that if I get sick that my x can't step in since my husband has no legal rights. ? right??

When my daughter was born, we noticed a red discoloration on her forehead which the doctor said was from the pressure from being born. She's 17 months and it's faded a little but it's still there. Her hair is cut in bangs so you can't see it, and it doesn't bother me anyway. Just wondering if these ever completely go away, or is this just a birth mark and nothing to do with the pressure from birth? I am sure that if she's bothered by it when she's older she'll just put makeup on it.

we have been together for 5 years and we just had our second child on the 22nd. my fiance works from 7:30 am to 5:00pm. and he thinks he doesnt have to help take care of the kids. i sit home all day with them. by the way the other one is a boy and is 3. so you can imagine the stress i have with him. but he comes home and wants to do his own thing. he doesnt hold his newborn or even ask how my day was. it makes me feel like he doesnt care. plus we live with his parents and that is very stressful for me and i try to tell him and he doesnt even say a word. i dont know what to do or how to get it through to him how i feel. i have told him straight out before when i was pregnant with the 2nd child that i feel like he dont care and he didnt even try to change. it was always me talking about the baby. but he said he wanted another child. plus i am 19 and he is 21. any help would be great thank you.

My fiance and I are planning to create a child within the next few months to come. However, I wanted to get some opinions from everyone as to if they truly are happy having a child, or if they wish they had waited longer? I've had a lot of friends who have had children early in life and always complain that although they love their child with all their heart, they wished they had waited; or they say they weren't fully aware of how much of a full-time responsibility it was to have a child.

I don't care how old you are or when you had your baby - are you happy you had a child/children when you did? If you could go back and change your decision, would you? Why or why not?

I was induced almost 5 years ago with my first child. I was just at my doctors yesterday and I'm being induced tomorrow. My question is, can I eat or drink anything before I go to be induced tomorrow at 6am? It's unlikely I will, since I will be nervous and probably nauseous (even tho I have had a child before, I don't like pain lol). I usually like a little coffee in the morning and some toast. I can't remember last time if I was allowed or not! Thanks for your help!
