I love being a mom. It has undoubtedly made my life ten thousand percent better. Think about it, you have someone who thinks you are the greatest thing in the whole world no matter what. A hug from your child can turn your bad day into the greatest day ever. I am constantly laughing at the things that come out of my daughter's mouth. Its the greatest feeling in the world to have someone who loves the way you sing, even if its terrible. They don't care what you look like because you look beautiful to them, even if you have dark puffy eyes and ratty, greasy hair. I could not imagine my life without my daughter in it. It would be so empty and meaningless without her. Even though its not always going to be easy having a child, especially when they act up, it is absolutely worth it.

I have a 6 week old baby boy. I never knew that you could love someone so much. However I did have a little postpartum depression and I didn't bond right away with my baby. Everyone talks about how they have an instant bond, but it doesn't always happen like that. I wouldn't trade it for anything, it was the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Well it is true for me:)
Most people lan to have a baby and so obviously they are getting what they wanted so they are happy when they have their baby(unless they suffer from post natal depression)
If you have an unplanned pregnancy then maybe being a mum wouldn't make you happy if you resent having to do it.
For the vast majority though becoming a mum is the most fulfilling and satsfying thing they have done.

Being a mom has it's ups and downs.
It differs for everyone.
Every parent has years of sacrifice, frustrations, joy, & sadness.
Some mothers and fathers have a difficult time with the "hard parts" and others deal cope and learn from it.
It doesn't matter what each mothers feelings and thoughts are on how great or not so great being a mother (or father) is, it matters on how you feel about it.
why do you ask this question?

For me, it makes my life a lot better! I love being married and having a little one. But it definately doesn't make it easier!! It makes it a lot harder. I can't wait to start with baby number 2! Having a baby doesn't fix things going on in your life, either. You still have to deal with issues you are having just the same!

well, yes and no. becomming a mother is one of the greatest experiences you can have, there's no comparison to that unconditional love. but at the same time, bringing another person into the world can also put great strain on people, both financially and emotionally.
having a baby doesn't necessarily make your life "better", but it most definetly changes your perspective on everything.
