...if a virgin has intercourse for the first time, say at 16; what are the odds of her getting pregnant?

Okay, one: whether or not you were a virgin before you had sex doesn't change the probability that you can become pregnant, it does however increase your risk from the whole NOT having sex thing. Age doesn't have anything to do with it either.

If you were ovulating and you had unprotected sex then your chances have risen greatly.

Take a pregnancy test and stop having sex.

birth control pills can be very effective if used correctly, they are up to 99% effective. It's still a good idea to use a condom in addition to the pill because for one, it's not 100% and more than a few women (including myself) have gotten pregnant while on the pill, and also because condoms help protect against STD's. I would not worry about it to much. There is really nothing you can do, if it's been less than 72 hours you have the option of using the morning after pill, but there's really no need for it if you're already on birth control, they are essentially the same. You are just going to have to wait it out and rely on the pill to do its job which it should. In the meantime just to err on the side of safety, don't drink or smoke just incase.

It only takes one time. Your odds are slim but possible. It's according to the time of the month you had intercourse, if you were ovulating then the odds become greater. Ovulation is between 12 & 16 days after your last period.
Hope this helps!

Being a virgin makes no difference whatsoever. Just as much chance as any other fertile female.

The odds are as good as at any other age. Depends on when you have sex in your menstrual cycle and if you have protection. A condom wouldn't be a bad idea.

given that both the guy and girl are both fertile, chances are exactly the same as with any other woman...there is no difference
