Ok, this is how it is I have two grown daughters who have 3 children of there own. Now my son who is 17 has gotten his girlfriend pregnant both young toooooo young. I am going crazy nuts about this.. I am a grandma 6x over. I feel my son is making a mistake with this one. I think he/she should give baby up for adoption. I have done my best with my kids and still have a 7 year daughter. This is just heartbreaking, knowing my son knew well enough and should have been careful. My daughter, who is 23, she is in another relationship, so to speak, and well my thought was oh no baby number 4 coming along. That's how I feel.

How will a misdemeanor affect my chance for adoption?
I am currently applying to adopt a child and have a home study coming up. My husband and I both have misdemeanors on our records. I have 3 MIC and my husband has 4. I am now 25 and my husband is 28. These misdemeanors all happened before we were 21. How can I check to even see if there are all on our records. Isn't 8 or more years (for my husband) long enough for these not to be an issue. We have no other criminal background. I also am in graduate school for Pediatric Clinical Psychology and have my M.A. in Clinical Psychology. I have a lot of background and experience with children and my criminal history has never played a negative role (I have had background checks for every thing envolving a child). Just wondering how these skeletons in my closet can affect my adoption? I had a previous response from a social worker that said she would in no circumstance let us adopt a child. Just need some reassurance.

I'm 21, my hubby is 22. We have a daughter who is almost two, and we LOVE being parents. We know we want more kids, and that we dont want them to be too far apart in age. We havent started trying yet because we would first like to have a bigger apartment or house, and a minivan instead of a car. But I'm having symptoms of early pregnancy, despite having an IUD. The test was negative, but it would be too early to tell anyway, since my period was only 2 weeks ago. As much as we would LOVE another baby, our logical minds keep asking things like: "How does one juggle a 2 or 3 year old and a newborn? Can we afford it? Is it even possible to love another child as much as we love our daughter? What if our next kid is a hellion? But... what if we dont have another child for a while, and our children never get along because of a big age gap?"

Any stories about how you cope and what its like? Are you glad you had 2 or more kids while you were still so young, or do you wish you

do you think baby talk can hinder a childs grasp of language and make it harder for them to learn to talk clearly?

I am a mom of 2 with 1 on the way, and i have never used baby talk because I do believe that it hinders them in their developing language skills. However, I won;t judge a person on their methods or beliefs, i am simply curious about the subject in relation to other parents.

We were visiting my husband's Dad, new girlfriend and 4 year old brother last night. I was in mid-conversation and this little heathen ran up and punched me in the stomach. I got pale and super hot, like I was gonna faint or vomit and had to run to the bathroom. The baby is moving regularly, and I haven't had any irregular symptoms. My question revolves around the way his Dad and girlfriend reacted to their 4 yr. old punching a 9 month pregnant woman in the stomach. How would you react if your 4 yr. old punched a 9 month pregnant woman in the stomach?

My first name is Alanna and my last name is Faith. I don't use the middle name my parents selected, and I didn't acquire the last name of Faith through marriage. In spirit I'm 27, but chronologically you can add a couple decades. So, my parents were way ahead of the curve using Alanna, which has become far more popular in recent years. I was in my mid-30's before I met anyone with my first name and no one has the same first and last. The name has served me well and fits my personality.
Alanna occurs in almost every language and has dyanmic meaning. Gaelic is a term of endearment, ie. darling. Lebanese: a winding river that touches many lives; Greek: free spirit; Nigerian: she who leads the way. Hebrew: a derivative of Helen, the warrior princess. So, if you believe that a monacher influences a persona, Alanna is a name for baby girls that will become strong, brave, loving and free spirited women...which I believe is a pretty awesome person to become. It's worked for me anyway.

I think I gave out too much information last time so heres the condensed version.

I am 22 with 3 kids, ages 8 months, 20 months and 3 years. My husband is 25 and we've been married for 3 years. Our marriage has been going wonderful for the past year but frequently we might have differences that we overcome. I am Black (Caribbean) and he is White (German/Polish)

Last night, my cousin disciplined my daughter, and my husband became upset and told her do not take it upon herself to discipline our daughter, but instead inform him.(he is the talk type of discipline) because of this comment my cousin became angry and they both started arguing.

Now my husband is mad at me, because although I didn't agree with the remarks either of them made, I am not taking sides, and I still don't see what's wrong with my cousin tapping my daughter if she's doing something she knows not to do.

So, do you let other ppl discipline your children, and/or is the talk and time-out effect better?

I understand "accidents" happen, but before conceiving why don't they consider all aspects, like the financial, instead of assuming they can depend on welfare? If you want to be a parent, then be a parent, just do it 100% instead of expecting others to pay for it. Kids can be expensive to get set up, clothes, furniture, car seat, food(if you don't breastfeed). Then there are issues such as how to pay bills while on maternity leave, how to pay for childcare. Your responsibility, not mine, my taxes shouldn't have to pay for your play time.

my g/f and i have been dating for about 4 and a half yrs, she's 29, im 22 and a half. About 2 weeks ago she informed me that she was preg and will be keeping the baby. she was on the pill the whole time we were dating (allegedly) so i never used a condom or any other type of birth control. i have a few reasons why i think she got preg on purpose the main one being that i ran into a friend of hers yesterday who congratulated me and said she was happy for us b/c "she knew how much my g/f wanted a baby" which was news to me! i just graduated from college and have a good job now and my g/f has been out of college for 7 yrs so financially this isnt a problem, i just am in no way ready to be a dad b/c of the huge change that bringing a child into the world will have on someone's life. just a few month ago she and i were talking about how neither one of us is ready for marriage yet so that isnt an option. on top of this, my mom is gonna kill me! any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanx.

Hi, I recently found out I was pregnant (am now 10 weeks) had an on off relationship with a guy who I love (never planned the pregnancy) But Im beggining to realise that he is not as responsible as Id hoped and looks like I will be raising baby as a single mum. I already have 2 wonderful kids from a previous marriage so I know its hard being a mum......but never been a single mum to a baby before (my kids dad and me were together until they were older so never did the baby phase alone) So anyway how do you cope with the emotional lonliness of being a single mum to a baby? Any tips on how to cope best? Im just worried because I never planned to raise a baby alone (he will be in the childs life, just we wont be a couple) Please any advice would be greatfully recieved. thanks guys, your all stars x
