Depends on the item, for the brands that everyone carry (Fisher-Price, Evenflo, Graco) I'd do Walmart because they're cheapest.

Our crib and changing table/dresser came from JC Penney.

Walmart, because Target has a terrible return policy. You cannot return anything without a receipt, so if someone doesn't give you a gift receipt, you are SOL unless you are good at persuasion and can convince a store manager to give you store credit. They also don't allow you to return anything bought off your registry sooner or later than 3 months after the birth. Don't ask me why. I REALLY regret registering at Target because they made my life so hard those pregnant months!

Both. They both have their good and their bad. Target has some beter stuff I think. Also they have user reviews on their products, while Wal-Mart doesn't have the user reviews, they have a Thank You reminder that keeps up with who buys for you from your registry. I am registered at both Wal-Mart and Target and I have found some things at Target that Walmart doesn't have and vise versa. Sometimes I can find the same thing at both places and 99.9% of the time it is cheaper at Wal-Mart.

i would have to say neither. babies r us because they have so much more selections for everything. walmart only has like 3 baby car seats to choose from while babies r us has like 10. the people who buy u gifts don't need to grab it from that store. i got my cousins registry online than i went to walmart and looked for similiar items like the avent bottes.

plus u can register from the comfort of your personal computer just go to babies r us.

Wal-Mart, Target, babies are us are all great places.
You could look into Sears or JC Penny.
