Make sure everything that he can get into is at his level close to the floor. Make sure everything you don't want him to have is high up out of sight. If he sees it he will find a way to climb up and get it. My advice is set it up the way you think will be safe. And then get down on and crawl on his level to see maybe what you might have missed.

Get down at your childs level. If you see it, he will try to play with it. Make sure the strings from the blinds are out of reach, cover all plugs. In the baby ilse at the store there are things to place on door knobs, outlets, and drawer lockers. You may not need them now but you will when he starts growing more. Think ahead, he will surprise you with the things he knows at such a young age, Good luck!!!

i took EVERYTHING out of his room, pretty much. and basically the best way to babyproof is to let him down on the floor and see what he gets into! its a constant thing... we keep opening up the house some more... first the full livingroom, then the kitchen, then the hallway, then his room and ours.
you learn as you go. just take about 2 weeks to really watch him, and that will be more effective than anything you can do.

It sound's like he's "marking his territory" in a experience, that's punctiliously comprehensible. i might want to say he's an extremely sensible youngster to be grasping on the idea of kinfolk roles-sources at such an early age. In my journey, i have chanced on it efficient to plant "pastime center's" in each and every person-friendly room of the abode. as an party, you would possibly want to placed aside a kitchen cabnet only for infant and would have previous timber spoons and pans to bang. If that is too obnoxious, attempt brightly colored packing containers, or impartial baskets hidden especially places in each and every room (coat closet, pantry, and so on.). this way you son has HIS stuff and could be guided decrease back to it till he learns his limits. he will also come across information on a thanks to clean up after himself. also, improve your diciplinary vocabulary previous NO or the note will develop into meaningless. Use a million syllable words like OW, or MESS, damage, YUCK, and so on. to describe the why in the back of the command. If he's already demonstrating bodily agressive behaviors, i does no longer strengthen them by technique of spanking--organic ingnorance and impatience. lower back and lower back lead him decrease back to his area and help him placed away his issues till you recognize he's grasped the concept. If he throws a extra fit, take him to his chair, crib, playpen or different secure/enclosed area for an afternoon out. notwithstanding, do not ignore that timeouts should be now no longer than the age of a teen x's 2 minutes. do not free your cool, keep in innovations you causes in dicipline are to keep him healthy and secure, no longer to abate his individuality.
