I haven't taken any Pain Meds since the week of my surgery. And even then I wasn't taking as many as the RX said I could.

Do you know what medications you were given during and after surgery? If you know that names, you could check to see what pregnancy class they are. There are 5 pregnancy classes. A, B, C, D, and X. A and B are considered harmless. C means that they haven't really been studied on humans or animals during pregnancy. D means there is positive evidence of human risk during pregnancy, and X means they are highly unsafe. Even if the medication that you were given is in one of the latter classes, the only way to really know if there is going to be a problem is for your doctor to do testing. But that cannot be done right away. I hope that this helps, but just to reassure yourself, talk to your doctor about this as soon as possible.
Congratulations and good luck!!

Talk to your doctor right away--- find out what drugs you had and what effects they may have had. The sooner you know, the sooner you can decide what, if anything, you want to do.
I'd be scared, too. The younger the embryo, usually the greater the possibility of negative effects. But then, maybe the particular things you had do not cause birth defects. Knowledge is power!

I hope things go well for you---

I honestly believe that nothing will be wrong. Don't worry. That early in to the pregnancy. You should have nothing to worry about. Go ahead and start taking your pre-natal vitamin till your get in to see you Dr. Also push as much water as you can. Water is very important and thing about what you eat and put in to your body. But for you to have surgery so soon after conception things will be fine.

congratulations on the new baby. its a wonderful experience. Lots of fun stuff to look forward to.

I have had two girls. now 3 & 2 let me know if you have any questions my email is posted on my account.

GOOD LUCK
